I am happy to know it works. However, it did not work for me, and the documentation for it seems to not exist. I've uninstalled it. Perhaps when it is more stable and better documented I will try it again.

Does not work for me at all. I saved a group consisting of an excel spreadsheet and a word document. After trying to figure out how to even get back to the groups (really, people still use File Explorer?), I tried opening the one group ... and nothing. So, as handy as it might seem, if it doesn't work, it isn't worth anything to me. It will be deleted. (Oh, and please stop trying to bundle Fences into everything. I tried it before, and I'm really not inte

I am suddenly having more or less the same problem, but only with one shortcut (iTunes). It all used to work perfectly, then something went haywire with just that shortcut. I have all of my music and videos in a shortcut folder named "Entertainment". I deleted the old iTunes shortcut because I kept getting a "File not found" error when I clicked on it in that stack. I created a new shortcut for iTunes on my desktop, tested it (it worked), opened the Entertainme

This shot will be a bit large, but it's my first post of a single shot of all four monitors. The wallpaper is Post Apocalyptic Kitty (PAK) made for multiple monitors. Done by me on Bryce. The dock and icons were also made by me to go with the wallpaper. I'm using the Vitrum rainlendar skin that I got over at the Rainlendar site, but heavily modified by me to go with the whole PAK theme. I think the skin I am using is "Leo" which came with Windowblinds. I'm j

OK, Zubaz, if you say so. But I have to warn you guys, I really love Bryce and will use it until the cows come home and die of old age. Personally, I think the bias stems from the fact that it's (1) inexpensive and (2) easy to use, which means that it is easy for people with zero talent to create pure crap in 3D with little or no effort. Having said that, I still think someone should take a few seconds and rewrite those "guidelines" so that they aren't bashing those of us who

Oh ... and the dock actually got posted today!!! I guess the first one was rejected because there were no author's comments ... although what it said was it violated the guidelines in some way. I don't see how that could be possible since the same thing was posted with the second post and it didn't violate the guidelines. And, having now read the guidelines, it seems a little odd to specifically say that no Bryce postings are allowed unless you can't tell they were done in Bryce. Wou
You could just get rid of/eat the cats and save yourself alot of that stress
Nope. I'm a Buddhist. Not allowed. Besides, they are almost all either (1) elderly or (2) handicapped in some way ... so it wouldn't be a fair fight.

Glad to hear you are over it, messiah1. It was a good suggestion. As mentioned, the system just decided to try and make me a crazy person yesterday. Plain and simple. There is nothing worse than trying to upload a rather small - and very complressed - jpg, and having the system tell you (over and over) that it is not a jpg. Long about the fourth time, one can find ones self screaming obscenities at the computer screen. Which does no good at all. Combine that with having to

And in what way was I not tactful, messiah1?? I did mention that it was a nice suggestion, and that was not said sarcastically. You might want to learn how to read posts without inserting your own subtext into every word. That, or grow a thicker skin. I don't see that it's somehow not tactful of me to state the truth, your suggestion, however well intentioned didn't happen to be correct. Get over it.

To make certain I am doing this correctly, you want me to unhook two of the monitors and then try the docks again? As in .... completely reconfigure the monitors so that my spread is only two? Or .... is it enough to just work with Monitors 1 and 2 .... 2 being my primary monitor. They are in order left to right. Just wanted to make sure before I go through all the hassle of tearing down my monitors. It was a pain in the ass to get them set up correctly.

In this case it wasn't. The jpg file was (1) very small and (2) uploaded at only medium quality. In addition, all six times that I uploaded (including the last one which actually worked), it was the exact same jpg preview file. Nice suggestion, however. But ... in this case, something else was the problem and I will probably never know exactly what it was.

38 Replies 10,524 Views

That worked. Now, I got the wait five days message .... but of course I got that message back when I uploaded the dock the first time. So, we'll see how it goes this time around. Snicker ... now I love this dock. I think it's the best one (out of two) I've made so far. So, what do you want to bet this one ends up being rejected for the main gallery?? Eh ... it's all good either way. No one seems to like the poor little PA kitty anyway. However, since I love the little bug

38 Replies 10,524 Views

Well, I tried to upload it about 5 times. Each time I get a message telling me that the preview file is not a jpg ... which it is. So, for now, I think I'll just give up. It's a nice dock, but five tries is my limit for any one day.

OK ... I've got four screens (yes, four screens ... bfd). My docks on the upper and lower portions of all screens work properly. However, the side docks on all but the primary screen have a strange glitch. It is applicable to all docks, not just those I have made. The glitch is as follows: When I create a side dock and tell OD which of the four screens it is to appear on, all goes well, the dock appears on the appropriate screen and on the correct side of the s
I've got four screensYou've got four screens?....we used to dream of having one....just so as we could see what was happening when we moved the mouse...... sorry.....wrong thread......
Yes, four screens. It's just that I used to have homes in two states (California and Texas). When I moved everything to Texas, I suddenly had extra screens so, I decided to hook them all up to the one computer (and use the second computer for spare parts).

I noticed the dock icons made it .... but it's the dock that seems to be stuck in limbo. It's just that I made it specifically to go with those icons, so it's just a bit discombobulating to have it be in limbo.

Ah, but Zubaz, whether or not you can accept good advice (graciously or not) depends on actually getting some response to the post. Even a "post this somewhere else, dumbass" would have been fine with me. I absolutely think posting something ... anything ... even "I just got a new cat" ... is better than complete and total silence. The only conclusion I could draw from that was that the post was not worthy of a comment. For the record .... I don't personally give a hoot if so

Change it to what, Philly?? Not the title, but what category do you think would have been more appropriate? Not asking in any way other than to get some real information, so that if this (or something like this) happens again, I'll have a better idea of where to post.

38 Replies 10,524 Views

Yes, I expected at least someone to say that they had never heard of this rather than just ignore the post entirely. Even that would have been more helpful than no reply at all. The question I posed ... whether anyone had ever heard of this ... was, after all, a yes or no answer. I really doubt that a simple "no" would have taken up that much space or more than about 4 seconds of anyone's time. And, since I have 20 cats myself, I probably wouldn't have minded reading about th

Well, since no one bothered to answer this post, I did some research on my own. It's not the fault of my dock ... it's just that Object Dock does not work properly on multiple monitor set ups. No matter which dock I use, if it has a visible spacer, then the side dock spacers all show up on the primary monitor rather than the one on which the dock is located. I guess it's just a bug in the program. So, I'm making due by not using any spacers on any of the side docks.

Now, this may only be true on my screen because of the configuration, but I thought I'd ask and see if anyone had seen this before. I've got four screens, and I'm seeing some odd behavior. I just made a new dock ... works on all sides of the screen just fine. The spacers are another issue altogether, however. The top and bottom screen spacers work great. The right and left spacers work properly, but only on the main screen. If I try to add a spacer to a s
