Control selecting multiple bases can't work until after the bases have been built. At that point I don't need any help figuring out where the next base goes; but at that point if the location I need is blocked by terrain it's already too late unless I want to destroy existing bases to adjust the layout. It's figuring out where the first one needs to go so the layout doesn't end up blocking on one of the followup bases that's the problem.

My min/maxing CDO wants to maximize the number of starbases around planets. Unfortunately I can't visualize the layout of 5 starbases at once to see if they'll all fit; and exporting screenshots to paint for markup like the one linked below is really tedious; especially if the layout is problematic (ex in the one below, where I'd like to know if I can get 5 on the bottom planet and still have access to the durantium). Is there a better option available? &
Thanks. I updated the wiki; I think I'd rather have had the econ bonus than the faster revolts though...
The problem with having both a tactical combat and an auto-resolve option is that balancing both options equally is almost impossible. If you try a formula based option (sword of the stars) is there there always end up being some combos/capabilities that work much better in one than in the other. IF auto-combat is tactical combat with the AI fighting both sides then a good human player will always have an advantage by being able to out-fight the AI.
The wiki lists the mind control center as having a bug that prevents influence based revolts from working. Is that still true in the current patch? The wiki hasn't been updated in 07.
I'm looking at the guides posted on wikia , but they've typically have notes about changes from the 1.1/1.2 patches but nothing on more recent updates so I'm assuming they're badly dated at this point.
How is the availability of updates to multiplicity and keep safe for those of us who bought the suite going to be handled? When I purchased it updates would b e provided for X amount of time (1 year???) after all the apps in the suite went out of beta; obviously that condition is not going to happen now.
There's prominent text stating that fences is free for noncomericial use, but I can't find anything about how much it will cost if I want to use a copy at work.
I believe he's also getting at the fact that your empire's size and breadth has little influence on what your max fleet size is aside from research centers allowing access to the standard upgrades. IE, the person who controls 2 star systems has the same max fleet size as someone who controls just 1.
That was exactly my issue with the game at the time.
Because DDR2 is stupidly cheap on sale, and you get better performance with 2 dimms than with 3/4.
OK. I guess my question was poorly worded due to the amount of time since I played the game. My problem was that after I killed one AI and occupied his entire system the two survivors were able to maintain max size fleet with one systems resources as I was was two. I was never able to attrit the invaders significantly before they withdrew, and my fleet was constantly tied up shuttling between the two systems I had to repuslse one attack or the next leaving me utterly incapab
It has been. That feature was a game breaker for me, and I stopped playing after it made expanding beyond two stars in a 4 player/4star game impossible. I've no idea what the second part of your answer is supposed to mean.
View message source. The plaintext version is working, only the html is busted. (see the thread I posted after somehow missing yours *DOH*)
I just recovered my passowrd. The HTML version of the email contained an exception trace. I had to view source and get the contents from the plain text version. I've included complete message source below. It's been over a year since I've played, is the cap on fleet size still purely a factor of research, or has an economic component been added?
Is there any indication of this fact in the UI? At first I thought it was buggy/busted and failing silently.
I'm running vista ultimate x64 and multiplicity pro 1.22 to manage 3 secondaries using the grid setup option. Changes made to the grid layout don't apply until I've restarted MPP on the primary.
synergy has an option to not minimize when you movea computer running a fullscreen DX app
First, where is the option to adjust the threshold speed? Second, I don't think that it's going to be able to do what I want, since the default isn't high enough to stop a high speed slew across multiple monitors, but is high enough to stop slower fine motion movements to bump back and then stop over something right on the edge.
Is there any way to put a 100 or 200pixel gap between displays belonging to different PCs? I'd like to avoid accidentally powering up the display on a mostly unattended PC every time my mouse moves towards the edge of the screen and overshoots slightly. The minimum speed threshold doesn't help because I regularly exceed it while sweeping my mouse across 2x1600x1200 displays.
This has spontaniously fixed itself. No idea what changed.
Since upgrading my secondary to VistaPremium SP1 when I move my mouse from my primaries desktop to the secondaries it won't turn the screen back on if it's been turned off for power saving reasons. The mouse cursor location does move past the edge of my primary and is presumably moving across the secondarys display. eg if I move the mouse 2 inches off the edge of my primary I have to move 2 inches back the other direction to recover the cursor on the primary.
If you're using a logitech mouse with setpoint buttons 4/5 are problematical. In V3.x they won't be shared to the secondary if on the primary any application that there was a canned special behavior profile (outlook, outlook express, word, powerpoint, excel, firefix) for the buttons defined. Deleting the special mappings won't help, setpoint still breaks multiplicity fro those apps. In setpoint 4.x the buttons are broken for all applications regardless of the existance of special profiles.<br
I want to be able to do this to avoid edge sensitive autoscrolling from activating when I switch away from a game.
Actually it seems I ca't drop setpoint as readily as I originally thought. Without it running I can't use the tilt ability of my scroll wheel to do horizontal scrolls. Unlike the low battery warning this is a major loss of functionality.
