The puppeteers pulling the strings play innocent man against innocent man.....pawns in a grab for power and supremecy. I feel for you, Texas Wahine, I wish only that we can end such wars and your husband returns swiftly to your waiting embrace....

To all, The main question I would like answered....as well as the rest as it helps me form an idea of who is answering....is this... Q. What do you think we need to do as the human race to ensure we all, indiscriminately, have clean water and food to eat? also... Q. What obstacles will we face in the process? Thanking you.
Texas Wahine, Both my brothers and my sister live overseas......My older sister is in Hongkong....my older brother in Thailand and my baby brother is in Japan.....who I worry most about as he is the baby of the family and he's just so darn far away and for a little while there he was having a hard time....broken up with his girlfriend....left his job......living alone in a tiny apartment.....and there was just nothing I could do for him........well
I have only recently frequented JU and am still feeling my way around.....at first I thought... "Excellent! A way to share with people what I am passionate about!!"....but I have found as in real life that other people are more interesting.....In day to day life and interactions with others I find I am of the tribe 'Question Asker' ....some come from the tribe 'Answer Giver'. Athough it's nice to think that
LadyCleve, For the past twelve years my partner and I have called each other Babe.....I never use his name unless he's in trouble !!
Sally, You know...it's a shame we can be so blind to the obvious in life.....one of the greatest examples is how we judge each other by an outer shell that doesn't really show who we are as our thoughts, words and actions do. I think we do that because it is concrete...solid......we can caress a face.. an arm....run our fingers through hair....look into eyes and touch lips to sweet tender lips..........and we are physical beings so it makes sense f

A friend e-mailed this.....there were more but I picked out a few of the best... Subject: Billy Connolly's 'Did you ever stop and wonder? Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these pink dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out?" Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken there... I'm gonna eat the next thing that comes outta it's bum." W
Revenge can be sweet....or smelly!
(Laugh!!) Who would have thought you could get into the mind of a dog. I think you have succeeded there , my friend, where others have feared to tread....
Two men walk out of a pub.........light up a cigarette... across the road is a dog.....sitting on the curb licking it's balls..... One of the men says to the other "Mate....I wish I could do that"....pointing at the dog..... "Well shit!" says the other " I think you'd better pat it first!" I just heard this one the other day... Prince Charles is in Australia giving a roya
Whenever I become disenchanted with the world I read this and it puts things in perspective and I can make sense of life and how to be and I am not afraid anymore...... DESIDERATA Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and list
Wow.....now that is a good one!
Sally, I love reading what you have to say it's always very insightful! What makes people so interesting are our diversities and differences.....can you imagine the world if we were all clones of each other....shudder........how mind numbingly boring would life be?! And though people born with disabilities and handicaps can have certain disadvantages they still lead happy and fulfilled lives and are valued members of society who love and w
Sally, I think you said it...... its more about the journey we take than where we actually get too. 'It is not the destination that is of importance but the journey and that which we learn whilst travelling our chosen paths.' C. I have travelled all over Australia before starting a family and whenever we got to where we were headed it was always an anticlimax!
Historyishere, I know what your talking about.......my partner has the same thing happen with him.....he'll go out and get videos and within a week it's playing on the TV or he'll happen to choose ...say 3 movies with the same (insignificant) actor in all of them....and lots of other similar coincidences.....if that's what you call them?! I usually know who's on the phone before I pick it up!
Poetmom99, Love your quote of the day's....I have one for you.... 'Life is circumstantial'.C
Thankyou Ravenblack, I did have a good evening....it's very nice to make your aquaintance..... I look forward to having some hearty conversations!
I have one for you Poetmom99, 'To know thyself , one must look into others, and to know others, one must look into thyself To understand and accept both, is to be at peace.' C.
Texas Wahine, I guess we had better lap it all up why they're still young and want cuddles and comfort........because all to soon they'll be grown up.... I savour every moment....my little boy is starting Kindergarten next month.....it's all too soon.....sigh.
'Time is but a word given for an actuality we do not comprehend and cannot be harnessed as it is as tangible as the wind.' C.
Poetmom99, Lovely......couldn't make more sense.
Poetmom99, It's really not fair on the kids, is it....do they forget that they are supposed to be guiding, nurturing and guarding their kids.....sending them down a steady, safe path of life not letting them do all the things that they are not emotionally mature enough to handle and can lead to a path of destruction. I would much rather have my son ocassionally be a little peeved with me for not letting him do everything he wants than to think he'l
Little Whip, Now...I have read a lot of your articles Little Whip and I know I am going to appreciate your answer to this question. With your amazing way with words and wisdom I wont just appreciate them but I think I definately NEED you to help me here....you have a great perspective that I think I can't do without! So, if you could manage a lengthy insight to my question below I will be waiting in anticipation! Q: What do you think
Poetmom99, Thanks for taking an interest, it's much appreciated! I am also of the 24/7 Mother club and it's great to hear you are proud to be so....it is dissapointing when mothers feel embarrassed to be a mother........being in todays society where our identity is gauged by the work we do....and I tell you what, I have never worked harder at anything than I have being a Mum and there is nothing more rewarding! From your answers to the questio
