I'd be happy if it never comes out on Steam. It really baffels me how some people get so personally attached to a faceless corporation, steam in this case, that has a unhealthy monopoly on pc gaming. Multiple stores is nothing but a good thing for games, and it is not like console where you have to buy hardware to access content, all you need to do is download a file that is smaller that the average youtube video. I just do not understand the hate. Also Epic avoids all that ultra toxic

How do you reassign Commanders from Ships? in Galactic Civilizations IV GalCiv4 Forums

I can't work out how to reassign or replace a commander on a ship? Like when I place them into the ship and the ship spawns.. they seem to be stuck forever... and if I decommission the ship there is no empty slot to rebuild it. TL;DR : If I have a Commander on a ship and hire a better leader with better stats.. how can I make him the commander of the ship and place the old commander back in my available l

Is there a PBE option for GalCiv4? Basically PBE is Play by Email.... it is a old concept and maybe there is a better system now. On Steam for example you can get notifications to join the game on your turn through the friends list. Anyway the way it works is that people all take their turns on their own time, without needing to be online at the same time in a classic "real-time" way. When adding a a "Improvement" from the LEFT panel in the planet screen, dose that REPLACE the tile bonus? (confused about adjacency) in Galactic Civilizations IV GalCiv4 Forums

When you place the improvements that are on the LEFT... does that override the tile bonus? Say I have a "Research Tile" with "+3" research on it and I want to put a "Capital Mainframe" on it... What happens to the +3? Like is Research "23" now on that tile? Like if I build this NEXT to the +3

Hi there... I'm confused about a lot of things in GC4... like for example I got a mission to build a city improvement but it needed a special resource... but I couldn't find any information on that resource.. like is it from a planet as in I need to colonise a planet with it, do you mine it from space using a space station? Another example was a mission where I need to scan planets... but there was no information on how to do that. My survey ship would just dock at the planet not scan it.

Hi... Normally to upgrade an outpost I simply move a pioneer onto it and select the upgrade option... but I have a strange case where a dwarf form a friendly faction is sitting IN my outpost. Hi there... I was wondering if there is any possibility for a PBM system in GalCiv3? I enjoy GalCiv a lot and I like the mulitplay, but the games can be extremely long. I've had huge sussess with playing a game called Armada 2526 multiplayer over email. The basic idea is that all combat is forced into autoresolve (not really an issue for this game) and every time you hit the end turn it just emails your data to all the other players.
