Make it so you have to signup for an account(free) to download anything at all. Then limit the number of downloads per day per account to say: 10 a day or something... that should get rid of a large portion of the freeloaders straight away. They just won't be bothered to keep registering new accounts just to download 10 more skins, and this way everyone can get a reasonable amount of skins each day, and no-one can be too greedy - it should also encourage interaction betw

Some proxy servers are setup in 'anonymous' mode where all headers and tags are stripped away therefore hiding the original origin of the request. In this circumstance it would be very difficult to know exactly who was requesting the data. However this can easily be solved by simply banning the IP of the proxy itself... harsh, but it would do the trick.

What I personally got from the policy statement was that generally using the icons in anyway other than for learning documentation was not allowed. If you've got a link to an existing icon or have it as a shortcut, you’re not actually 'using' it, you’re just linking to it. The same with the WindowBlinds example Jafo mentioned... your simply allowing the existing icon to be displayed next to or in the skin - it's not actually being 'used' and it's not specifically part of the sk

hmmm... the rating doesn't carry over when someone updates their skin? surely that must be a bug? What if you had 15 people rate your work, and you just updated to include an single extra icon or fix some little speck on a wallpaper... it then erases all those ratings? and goes back to 5? sounds like a bug to me, I can't see it being designed that way?
