For someone who grew up in Belfast through the 70's and 80's I have lost many friends to terrorists but 9/11 was something that shocked the world out of this belief in "Freedom fighters" and saw terrorists for what they are. I thought the PS3 would possibly sink Sony but after seeing the planned prices of the supposedly cheaper HD-DVD players the PS3 does look like a bargain (in the UK anyway) The PS3 is only like £50 dearer which is a steal for a cutting edge games console and HD player. Maybe I'm being naive but if you are worried about being stalked don't have a page online with personal details on it ..... I think this shows just how easily an online community can over-react to something that most users don't realy understand, I can remember being put off looking at my Deviantart accont for fear of seeing anymre yellow aliens or rants from people who don't understand how corporate law acually works.

Its very stable , im running photoshop cs2 + office 2003 works very well and although it does occasionally crash when i give it a bit of abuse it certainly seems to recover without the constant Ctrl/Alt/Delete im familar with in XP. Im impressed but he graphics drivers are annoying my steady 4.5 in my performance index is dropped to 1 as the 6600 (AGP) only scores 1 ? i thought that would be reserved for onboard graphics and the like !

I run an Athlon64 3000+ with 1 Gb ram and an overclocked vanilla 6600 and i have been enjoying Prey with all but the very highest settings enabled ,still alot of games it wont run well and i have to say one the most compelling reasons to upgrade to pciXpress is the ability to run SATA300 hard disks ! but I'm holding out to upgrade until UT2007 appears

easy peasy in the advanced settings button under settings in display properties you should find a tab that will let you increase the graphics memory used by the intel extremegraphics you will then be prompted to reboot

The simple answer is that cheaper LCD TFTs dont have the ability to show any other res than the native one in your case 1280x1024 (5:4) when you run it at 1024x768(4:3) it stretches the 4:3 picture into a 5:4 causing distorsion. I run at 1280x1024 happily and its much finer detailed and sharper than 1024x768 if you dislike the smaller icons then just enable "Use large icons" (just under the clear type setting in display properties)and pick a larger font size for windows to use (in display proper

I think it works very well for the most part it does seem slightly faster than the old version (the old version would just hang during USA internet prime time) Although annoyingly DeviantSkin has been broken now if the new coming version of Wincustomize.com has website wide skinning built in natively then I'll be visiting alot more often
