Apple Introduces "iTV"

At Apples "showtime" media event yesterday they gave a rare preview of a new media center device called "iTV".  This is not the final name, and the finished product is expect to be officially unveiled at Macworld in January next year. 

Some of the key features are:

• Built-in power supply (no power brick)
• USB, Ethernet and 802.11 wireless connectivity
• HDMI, optical audio, component video and RCA (phono) audio outputs
• Works with the Apple Remote

The price will be $299.

so pretty much a copy of a media center extender , whatever happened to apple's innovation ? a mac mini with a built in dual tv tuner would be so much nicer

$300 seems awfully high, even for Apple.

Weren't they calling it Apple TV, or is that just over here in England, because we have a TV channel called ITV.

Apple TV?I've just had enough about any products of Apple. I really regret having bought shuffle II. It had so many quality problem that I can't stand any more! I won't pay a pound to buy any product of Apple's!
