I've got SP2 on two different IBM Thinkpads (T20, T23). It works wonderfully on each. That said... Having BootSkin running on my T20 slowed EVERYTHING down, even after Windows XP had loaded everything. Returning to the default XP boot restored the system speed. And I'm not sure what ChasUGC is talking about. Office XP isn't on the list. Maybe they've edited the list, or maybe I'm just blind this morning.

Finally!!! For years, I have been looking for a little program launcher that would dock to the edge of the screen and have tabs for different types of programs so that I could launch them quickly. And here it is! Object Dock Plus! I now have my replacement for the venerable TabLaunchpad. And that makes me very happy indeed. Interesting information about the commitment of the Windows DEVELOPERS to produce a product that runs the software the users have already paid for (well, except AfterDark on Windows XP) "We" like to take potshots at Microsoft and their products, but often fail to realize the pride that the MS developers take in trying to produce a product that is everything to everyone.

I'm not surprised that Microsoft isn't offering "official support" for other OSes. But I hope this doesn't mean they've mucked with the program so that it now "just barely" works with them. I've got a copy of Mandrake Linux running in a VPC emulator, and other than the speed limitation of my PC, it works very well.
Frogboy, On my IBM laptop, the button says "PrtSc." On my Microsoft "natural" keyboard on the desktop, it says "PrtScn". On the original Dell keyboard, it says "Print Screen." Whatever it says, the majority people I know still don't know what it does in Windows, nor do they have much desire or need for it. Sorry, but not all Windows users know the short cut key for "Print Screen." I'd bet that vast majority have no idea what the "PrtSc" button does in Windows, let alone variations based on key combinations. (And ScrLk goes along for the same ride).
So do the Winamp commans from Keyboard Launchpad. This is nice. And I acutally like the "Winamp Modern" default skin. Plus the fact that it nicely uses both WSZ and WAL skin files is good.
I'm with everyone else who's mystified by the desire for something you only see briefly if at all (my desktop only gets shut off in event of thunderstorms or travel). BUT I do have to say that I am VERY impressed that the gang at Stardock found a way to do this without causing additional problems by hacking the kernel OR by violating copyrights. Yeah, boot screens. Never mind that you only see them for, what? a few seconds a day - maybe. Neophil, to which screenshots are you referring? I was referring to the screenshots here on Wincustomize that people post of their desktops. An increasing number of them contain Rainlendar - many of them "self-skinned" from the Windows XP shutdown dialogs included in WB4 skins. Is "Component Manger" even updated with new releases these days? In Stardock Central, the lastest version (3.96a) is "pre-release" so you have to have SDC set to display pre-release versions. The last "full" version was back at 3.0.
