Wallysimmonds, I was having the same issue, then I figured out that I needed to manually run the "register_gc2ultimate" file once I copied them all over to the game directory. Try that, and it should hopefully register it for you.

I'm just curious if there has been any talk of a physical collector's edition like they had for War of Magic? Debating if I should pre-order the physical copy now or hold off on waiting on that. Thanks. (Did a quick search on the forum and didn't see anything that would indicate either way)
If I do the upgrade to retail option for $5 +S/H, would that be the collectors edition like it shows in the picture, which has the sound track in it? Thanks.
I seem to remember something about if you purchased the games online directly you would be able to download the soundtracks. Was I on crack (figuratively speaking) and what I'm remembering wasn't actually said? And if that's the case, is it possible to purchase just the soundtracks to the games? Thanks.
I currently own; ObjectDock, IconPackager, and TweakVista (In fact I purchased ObjectDock and IconPackager just two days ago). Is there any sort of discount if I wanted to upgrade to the full Object Desktop Ultimate package? Or if there isn't, what's the return policy for Stardock? If I wanted to try and get a credit for the two programs I just purchased and turn around to get the full ODU package? (Never had to try and return something with Stardock, all the g
Awesome, thank you. Looks like I don't need to keep a copy of that activation utility saved away somewhere.
Ok, back when GalCiv2 first came out I got the collectors edition which had some extra ship items for designing the ships. This was activated with a download that checked the serial number of the install then unlocked the ship jewelry. My question is; If I go to reinstall via a download from impulse do I still need to keep that little activation utility around, or were the extra ship jewelry bundled into one of the expansions?
The Bonus Pack is actually patch 1.0X, and installing it when you aldready have anything newer than 1.0 will break the game. All you need to do is reinstall and patch back up to 1.31 if needed. All the 'extra' stuff from the Bonus Pack was included in all later patches, so you already have it anyway.
What about the collectors edition jewelry? Was that added in one of the expansions or patches? I'm just curious if I need to keep that activation file around when ever
This is also the reason I was quite frustated when I tried to restart the original campaign in TA... only the TA campaign was there! I then checked the files and noticed their extensions and places... It appeared reasonable that if I copied the files from "/GalCiv2/Data/English/Campaigns" and "/GalCiv2/DarkAvatar/Data/English/Campaigns" to "/GalCiv2/Twilight/Data/English/Campaigns" the respective campaigns would appear in TA. My guesses were RIGHT! I've been able to start the dread lo
