No five paces have ever seemed so long as the one taken while looking at her. For the 5 seconds that i see her walk towards and pass me, a century might as well have passed. One look in her face aroused the tribal drums of my soul and made my heels feel like jelly. A recognition of complete novelty. How could i fall in love in 5 paces? like Corleone and Appolonia, a thunderbolt struck hard in my heart on ly to leave me flailing as she passed. a faint sent of flowers and oils left in my nostrils

Today the department of homeland security raised the terrorist threat level to orange (again). That means we should all be alert. However, simply by having that wonderfully, color coded system, does it not make us more alert anyway? In a survey taken by NBC, new york city residents said that they were not going to change their daily routines in any way. So is this "rainbow of danger" just an insurance policy for the goverment. It seems like it is more a monday quarter back move so that they can

In order to have any type of free will, a being must be aware of itself. With out this awareness, there is no benchmark of basic needs on which it needs to survive. If we, as humans, did not know that we were alive, we would not eat, breathe, or do anything else for that matter. Technically, and existentially we would simply not exist (pardon the redundancy). We humans have created something that can do things that we can not. We have created machines that can think faster than us, work harder t

Jenna, you ain't nothing but a slut. But Joe Hornberry, male pornstar, you are the man. Sure, some may call it hypocrisy. Others may even say that it is chauvinistic. But it's a fact of life, so let's all get used to it. A woman who has multiple partners is a slut and her male counterpart, is the man. How come there are never any "E true hollywood stories" about Joe? Why is it that on camera, he is a stud who has multiple women falling all over her and letting him...well, you know, do his thing

That's right. You heard me. The world is not out to get you. If that were the case, the world would have to revolve around you and, well... we all know it doesn't. So why do you choose to take your frustrations out on me, dear sir. It's not my fault your flight was canceled. It's not my fault the movie you want to see is sold out. And that thing about your wife, that's not me either. However, please don't think that I am not sympathetic, because I have been on that side of the counter before. Bu

I fear that my statements may have been misunderstood. I mentioned nothing about military action. I am more worried about the principle. Simply the idea that Bush would not back independence with his words and ideals, is very unsettling. Yes, if we take into account economic variables, it is proably not good to piss off china. However, to simply appease a trade partner by essentially downplaying the entire basis of your own country is very surprising and and hypocritical.

President George W. Bush yesterday announced that the U.S. would not support any unilateral steps on the part of Taiwan for it's idependence from China. What? This statement could lead and should lead to many commentaries on both sides. However, let's simply look at it from the Amercian Dream side, keeping economic alterior motives independent. How can the leader of the worlds most succesful democracy, which was founded upon the desire for indepence from a moth

Who ever said that the way a market moves is similar to how a druken man stubbles down a street, is not a very optimistic person. To make a statement like that is sort of like just plain, giving up. There is a reason for everything. To say that a movement in price is completely random is very unfounded. Even the drunken man would have a reason for suddenly stumbling to the right or left. Maybe he lost his balance. Maybe he tripped on a rock. He probably was just leaning against the mail box vomi

To blog, or not to blog. A question well pondered by my staff. A "royal my," of course. To quote, distribute, ideas electronically and yet open your mind for yourself is quite a concept that "they" took on. either way, diaries are boring. and while they contain that safe and sneaky comfort quality of never being read by anyone but their aurthor, they are such a drag. scribbling erase marks, and peeping diary corners from under piles of clothes make are a few shameful aspects. I hope my poor diar
