Speaking of "later version", any info on when that might be? The version is dated 1/18/05. Not that Stardock folks are sitting around picking their noses; I'm just eager to see this program mature since it's one I know I'll be using a lot.

I'm thinking that the "eye candy" reference wasn't a knock. Ojbectbar, object dock, windowblinds, desktopx all add a different kind of functionality. I think the big draw of those is to get to adjust the "look and feel" of the OS. Enhanced Dialogue changes/enhances a basic function of windows. Was working fine - was liking it - but it just stopped working. Now, I load the application and the preferences dialog box opens, but when I click ok, the program exits (closes). Settings.exe is in the processes list when you open the program, when you click "ok" it goes away. Tried uninstalling & reinstalling. Still doesn't work. I really like the widgets - I just wish there were more to use. A lot of what's on Konfabulator are web cam stuff and gaming server info which indicates to me they probably a little younger audience involved over there as well. I think if the 5 programmers doing widgets in DX were able to get some more suggestions and build the DX Widget library up to be a bit more diverse, then you would get the benefit of a) More programs to choose from and b) Folks
