by Citizen Invincible0 - 5/23/2004 11:01:19 AM Today's skins are more like that small family sedan and back then, it was more like the 6 figure sports car. Now you like to use them, back then you liked to have them. Excellently put. I have to say, however, you don't see the intricate detail and obvious time put into skins today as you do in those like SETI Green. Today it's all about gradients and shiny reflections (and I definately do not speak for every skin out there - plenty of them brea

by Citizen lord_of_the_rings Thursday, February 12, 2004 "im just waiting to see what MORMEGIL will do" Well, I hate to let you down, lord_of_the_rings, but if you read in the news description it says that Paul Boyer (aka mormegil) has signed to work with Stardock, so therefore he cannot participate in the Olympics, and will rather serve as a judge.
This sounds incredible. I wasn't around Wincustomize, or deviantART or such when the first GUI Olympics occurred, so I'm really looking forward to this. I especially like the idea to allow teams of anyone, not just websites, this way there will be a lot more teams able to participate and allow for more variety. Can't wait for it to happen, and good luck to everyone that plans to participate, and especially a luck wish to everyone backstage that has to put all this together <img src="ht
Seems you and everybody else China You're not alone
A good suggestion, Condor, but I'm sure it's quite a controversial category for the site to include... although I think I would be interested to hear the reason for it's absence.
Well signup for me was easy, as I already had an account from WinCustomize, but the making of a blog was easier than counting my toes. The only thing that took me a while was trying to find how to make a blog I clicked around a lot, but finally came across the "My Account" link. I went to start to create my own blog, to see how it worked, and I was amazed. The options are great and the simplic
ddddd
Well, paxx, the only problem with uploading the file as a seperate upload would be that if there was a major major update in the skin, then people who may be searching around on the site, and come across the old one, might not know there's a new one, and then they'd have the old version that apparently had something wrong with it. No, not a good idea at all. And I have to agree with pinchecl on the topic of comments. If only more people would comment on skins <img src="http://image
Well I think the whole "resetting your downloads to 0" idea has pretty much been ruled out, so I won't touch upon that and just repeat what others have said. Nor will I complain about WinCustomize's uplaod or rating system... But I will have to agree with a couple of suggestions that go along with the original intent of the post to this announcement (what data should be added to downloading info). Showing who's viewed your download from different countries would indeed be inter
This is very very cool, indeed! Thanks for the heads up, subdude. I do however discourage anyone with a somewhat slow computer, however, in downloading this.
lol essencay... you're so very very sneaky
A new forum for skinners and skinner "wannabes" alike to come and discuss whatever at. Thinking about making a new skin but not sure how to go about doing it? Or maybe you're trying to design the perfect DesktopX object, but you can't seem to get the "zoom" effect to work. Well the best way t
Your clock objects are very nice, Travis, and I think that if you applied those talents to other kinds of objects (such as system status meters, calenders, etcetera), you could get permission from some of the wonderful designers here at WinCustomize to allow you to make some matching skins to theirs. Just a suggestion
Aye to that! Definately a great idea, as I also find myself searching for OD themes and spending quite a bit of time. It would be much like the DesktopX Objects/Themes sections, then
Ahh! I just bought ObjectBar a couple of days ago and now I'm having problems. When I first started using it, everything was 100% OK, and working fine, but then I spilled something on my keyboard, I had to get a new one, bla bla, and right after I installed the new keyboard ObjectBar was acting all funny and it's not showing any tasks in the taskbar! Someone please help, as I really do enjoy ObjectBar and it's capabilities, but this is really making my $20 go to waste.
Really diggin your unfinished theme, BoXXi very very sleek!
I love the MSN look
Baaaah Wa2 doesnt skip like Wa3. Wa2 can have great looking skins [Message Edited]
