I for one would LOVE to see WB support alpha transparency on window borders. (and not necessarily for Aero effects, either). It'd be nice to make shaped borders without the jagginess. Even if it limited alpha transparency to just a few pixels all the way around, it'd be a huge improvement.

We need a new DX email module. The current one tends to be a bit erratic, and it needs more features. I'd do one myself, except I don't have the know-how (I can just about hack my way through VBS). Feature request: Ideally, to check the mail server similiar to the OD email docklet. It needs to be able to get a count of the new emails. It would be nice to have systray support for mail notifications.

There are tons of practical things that can be done with DX that little to no impact on system resources. Excessive use of resources is usually the result of unoptimized scripting. The power of DX hasn't even begun to be tapped yet.
