Thanks for the reply but I can't run LogonStudio, that's the problem. As mentioned above, I am not getting my logon screen so I can't log in to Windows. Instead of a logon screen I only get a black screen and cursor. Which is why what I really need is information on what files LogonStudio changes so I can restore those to what they were prior to running LogonStudio.
Thanks for the reply. But, no, I'm on Vista. I've tried all the obvious option (ctrl+alt+del, restoring, etc) At this point it's really about just replacing whatever files were altered by Stardock but I can't seem to find any support information that tells which files I should be targeting.
I am having a problem with getting my logon screen to show up since changing it in LogonStudio. Am now just getting black screen and cursor. I've been able to access my files by creating a live CD of Ubuntu so now I just need to know what files to try to change back or overwrite with older versions. It's my understanding that LogonStudio doesn't change anything in the registry but that it updates the imageres.dll file located in the windows/system32 directory. Are there any ot
I tried to do the "last known good configuration" boot and it still acted the same way. Black screen with cursor instead of the logon screen.
Yes. Same thing happens. Because of the size of the cursor has changed, I can see that it's at a different display setting but it's still trying to show a logon screen but giving my a black screen instead with no way to log on.
I am running Vista and have used LogonStudio with a customized screen for over a year. Today I opened LogonStudio and changed the logon screen to a different file. The program stalled out and then froze my computer. Now when I start my computer, instead of the logon screen all I see is a black screen. I also see a cursor and am able to move it around but cannot access any way of logging in. I've tried hitting ctrl+alt+del twice (as I've seen suggested in other posts) but to no avail.<
