I recently just got sins of a solar empire through the Steam sale. For my first game I picked a small map and set the AI to easy. I colonized two planets, one asteroid, and maxed up my fleet supply (think I upgraded it twice). Then a massive pirate fleet came to my capital planet that outnumbered me at least 3 to 1 and destroyed my fleet. Do I need to expand faster or concentrate tech on defense?
Thanks alot. I don't know how I missed that. That makes things much easier.
Is there anyway thank I can upgrade a certain class ship all at once? When I upgrade my ships I currently have to click on every single one and click on upgrade and then the ship.
Another tip, don't try to split the difference when building an influence base. Build it touching one of the target planets, as the effect of the base drops much faster with distance than it does from planets. Once one flips the other will follow without any additional effort.
Thanks for the tip. Glad I posted the pic :) On the higher AI levels I assume this isn't as easy? I've taken 11 planets so fa
I have two planets near the two planets I want to come to my side. Earth 88IP (.039) and Poseidon I 20IP (.38) are mine Korx 54IP (3.29) and Korx II 10IP (2.94) So I need to get Earth to .25 and also get the Korx planets above 4.0? Heres a pic if it helps:
I have the Korx only 2 planets fully in my borders and trying to get them to revolt. Will building an infulence starbase help even though I already have those planets within my territoy?
thank you
I have a scrolling problem in about every game I have so far played. The game will automatically start scrolling to a corner and keeps on doing it. I have to save and reload or sometimes quit the game and restart. Anyway to fix this?
Simply uncheck "remove all functionally parts when upgrading ship-design" in options and you can rename the ship through upgrading it without having to remember all the parts. I usually implement these parts in the shipsname, like "Yor Invasion r2 s3" where r2 = 2 range-modules, and s3 = speed+3, the transport-modul for an InvasionShip is obvious.
Thats great, thank you very much
Ok I found it ingame once I had the tech for it. I thought I could do it from the main menu ship designer though. Thank you! While I'm thinking about it is their anyway I can rename and add a description of a ship I made? The only way I can do this is to upgrade a ship and hope I remember all the right parts.
I'm trying to get rid of ship designs I have made but I cannot seem to do it from the ship design in the main menu. It is annoying to see all these various ship designs I have made when I research tech. How can I get rid of them?
Hello I just bought the Galactic Civilization ultimate edtion. Never played any of the series before but it looked fun so I bought it. Been fumbling around in my first game and I have a question about ship design. Whenever I add armor to a ship do I have to apply it to all the hardpoints or does placing one on a hardpoint cover the whole ship? Also is their any tye of strategy guide for new people?
