Interesting coincidence is release of a standalone and free game Prometheus on Impulse (also first-person puzzle game) that took place only a few days ago.

Grat news, Mr Wardell, it looks quite intersting. Would you consider adding content of the official expansion: "Battle Tactics" in one of the updates, mentioned in your opening post?
I suspect I'm in for a huge disappointment, but I'm glad I finally get to play this game.
In my opinin this game had aged well. Just do not forget to open .ini file and change screen size to represent your resolution. This is one of the last single-player oriented RTS`es.
...isn't the Bill of Rights a Stardock thing? Why would GPG somehow be bound by that? And beyond that, it's not like it is some sort of enforced agreement anyway.
No, GPG took part in creation of the Bill of Rights and, if I am not mistaken, Chris Taylor signed it. link: www.edge-online.com/blogs/the-gamers-bill-rights
Sins of a Solar Empire - Trinity is scheduled for release on February 9, 2010 and can be pre-ordered digitally for $39.99 USD. The game will also be available at retail stores throughout North America on release. To order Trinity, just visit the Store.
Is Trinity going to be released in Europe too? If yes in which countries?
To be honest, the TEC Neruda looks like a flying face with a giant set of teeth. It also has a strangely large amount of windows for a supposedly "mostly automated" vessel. Doesn't mean I don't like it, though.
But it could be great model for Pirate Capital Ship. If only developers enabled pirates to have one, as a part of "techs" gained by them over time.

To this list I would suggest enabling those "minor empires" to have diplomatic relations screens, just like other empires, and ability to give missions. After reaching certain level of relationship with them (eg 90%), minors should be willing to join your empire ("Ally" button form diplomacy menu replaced by "Join") giving you control over their planets, structures and ships.

Reading article about SoSE on Wikipedia I come across sentence: "Once both micro-expansions have been released, Stardock has stated that they will be releasing a final retail version with both micro-expansions included." Can anyone confirm this information, will it be worldwide release? Are there also plans to release expansion pack alone, for people that already have original game and want to have physical copy of add-ones? <
