Question: If they (the architect/AI) *really* wanted Neo to pick the door to the source (to save Zion) then why did they show him that Trinity was dying, and why did he all but talk Neo into going back into the Matrix, and why even allow the choice of the door back into the Matrix? Just more random thoughts… hehe…

I need to get the Animatrix on DVD… So, after watching Reloaded again yesterday I’m going to have to step down from my “this is how it is” soapbox when it comes to Zion being a sub-Matrix, because I just don’t see it like that anymore. At least not 100%... I now feel that the dance/party scene and Neo’s kiss with Persephone are two very important scenes. There are no rules in dance. You just move because it makes you feel good. There’s no “logical” reason for dance other than getting yo

Nakor - I just saw Reloaded again, and after reading your post I am starting to think that Zion is real, and there is no sub-Matrix. The big dance scene that so many complain about actually has huge meaning, as does the kiss between Neo and Persephone. Love, raw emotions that can't be explained or generated by a machine... More on this later... Must eat...

I think that the main reason that those things were brought up was to possibly establish some sort of a pattern, as it is well known that the Wachowski brothers have literally layered both movies with “physics and laws” of not only several sci-fi writers but religions, philosophies, and popular folk lore as well.

Chris – I’ve been thinking along the same path that perhaps there was some sort of metaphysical transfer between Neo and Smith, thus enabling some human “abilities” in Smith, and “super human” abilities in Neo (controlling machines outside of the Matrix). If this is the case then this one thing alone could blow the whole “Zion is a part of the Matrix” theory out of the water. *erases slate* *starts new theory* hehehe <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/

@ kona – The Dedicated Digital Line vs. Shared Bandwidth is pretty much a myth perpetuated by DSL providers that while at one point, in theory was somewhat true, does not hold true with today’s hardware. It still pops up here and there, but a majority of the hardware that the cable lines were using has been replaced and these days the “shared bandwidth” thing is the same on cable as it is on DSL, dial-up, or what ever, that being that we’re ALL going to experience a performance hit if loads

I think that Agent Smith will play a huge role in the final movie. I am convinced that his code was never supposed to know/enter the Zion level of the Matrix. The Oracle says that programs that are marked for deletion tend to leave and “live” anonymously within the Matrix while avoiding deletion. The majority of programs within the Matrix are completely bound by the rules of the Matrix, however the Agents (true Agents, not the agents that MadIce is referring to) are not. Perhaps he was marked fo

Aye Chris, perhaps the point of Zion is to “study” humans for several reasons: 1) The better the AI understands human nature the better it can create a Matrix that they will not “want” to escape from 2) The purpose of AI is to perfect human actions and reactions, and the people that don’t accept the “level 1” version of the Matrix and make it to the Zion level are a little more complex than the rest of the sheep. Perhaps it is this desire to break free, this hope that the reneg

It’s almost as if the existence of Zion is a “fine tuning” process. When “The One” materializes it could be a signal that the program run is complete and that it is now time to “reset” the program, fix the bugs, recompile, and run it again. The Architect tells Neo the following: .=The Architect=. “You have many questions, and although the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human. You life is the sum of the remainder of an unbalanced equation inhe

Frogboy - I agree with your thoughts on the “super human” (ESP) possibilities that are posed. I just haven’t explored that side of it too deeply yet… and thinking about it, there are many “human” elements that they focus on that, like you, makes me believe that they will not reduce this whole series to one big “AI Dream”. KarmaGirl – Morpheus, Neo, Trinity = The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost ... I dunno, hehe Could the name “Trinity” suggest the Holy Trinity t

*** SPOILER ALERT *** A few notes before you continue on with this thread: 1) There *will* be spoilers 2) If you’re here to talk about how much you hated the movie, please take it to the appropriate thread With that said, after viewing Reloaded I was left with as many questions as I went in with, so if you have a take on what happened in the movie, please post ‘em here. My thoughts on a few things: .=Zion=. Two things that we know for sure at the e

Star Wars EPI & EPII are the worst movies you can think of? Wow, you *really* need to see some more movies because there are mounds of Hollywood poo that stink the joint up in ways that the Star Wars films couldn't dream of. Basket Case and The Girl in Gold Boots are absolute stinkers, and I’m gonna go out on a limb here and predict that Dumb & Dumber’er is going to join the ranks of these stinkers as well. The previews didn’t even make me grin, and were almost painful to sit through, so I can o

1) Xbox & PC (tie) 2) Ultima V, Halo, Gothic, Morrowind, Zelda, Red Alert... (too many) 3) Xbox 2 First off, let me just say that the only major market that the Xbox is not selling well is Japan. It is the clear #2 in the US, Europe, and Australia. Worldwide it is recognized as the #2 console. With that said, the company with the best track record for quality, first party titles is Nintendo

Does anyone happen to remember the name/link of that home theater software that was posted as a news item on the front page here a few weeks back? I went and built me a home theater PC yesterday and now I wanna check out that site and see what they were all about. Thanks!

From what I recall of the comments that you’re quoting, they’re not precise and they’re taken way, way out of context. Put back into proper context the statement resembles this: [when talking about fans who download music for free] “… its not like we’re saying that all of the people who support us are loser metal heads…” Now, again, this not word for word if it’s from the same interview/article that you’re talking about, but this is at least the correct context.

Their new, and permanent replacement, is Robert Trujillo. He’s a monster of a bass player. He played with Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, and more recently did quite a few gigs with Ozzy’s “band”. Jason was good but Trujillo will fit in much better. Wait until you hear him play…

I'm a WinCustomize subscriber and a Object Desktop Network subscriber, so can I get these "premium" skins? If so how? I've rummaged through the WinCustomize browser but I have no idea where they're located in there.
