Well, despite the fact that I am one of those people, who have by an arbitary definition a bad ISP or router (though neither is the German Telekom a bad ISP, nor are their routers crap - if they were, I wouldn't be able to play other games online, or would I?). What kind of novel did you write? Anything out of the ordinary, or just the usual fantasy fare?

Actually, with proxy it is WORSE than my takes on NAT. At least, NAT left me with other players and I could judge whether I got connected or not. Now, it is "Waiting for game data" and then I am all alone not connected to anybody...

Tried it, doesn't work. I have never even once reached the lobby. It is unbelievable, because I never have problems with other games. Perhaps a real server-client structure (tested and from the start up) would have been better... But right now, I am a bit frustrated, because it seems that I only find 5-6 games in custom games mode and when I try to connect, nothing happens except I see myself and waiting to connect to other players. Sometimes I see one or two other players, connected to me, b

Hi, I haven't been able to play Demigod-Multiplayer since Day 1. At first, the direct connect and NAT thingy didn't work at all. Now, other players can connect to me, but I can't connect with them. I tried to force the proxy-connection, but that doesn't help either. I forward all ports between 6100-6200 plus the two ports that are said to matter too (60xx). Another example: Empire - Total War (perhaps from the graphical load more up to date and very similar to demigod): graphical gpu ranges between 81 to 97 degree °C but never more! So, I'd say there is some kind of graphic bug in the Demigod engine that doesn't account for heavy load or that generates an unnatural heat load (perhaps VRAM?).

I did a little comparison between demigod and Command & Conquer 3. What I found interesting is that even on max settings command and conquer 3 never brings my video card over 100 °C and if it comes near that point, the fan reacts. However, when I play demigod I have a kind of sin-wave feeling, where the temperature runs between 110 °C and 99°C, where 99°C is the turn-point to no stuttering, while 107-110 degree the switch for stuttering is. Very bizarre, I wi

I wish I had this kind of response. I have a 8800M GTX (NVIDIA) which has up to date drivers, but still can't process a game. It is certainly not a mistake of the driver (since I tested with several different versions from 16x to 18x. So, it has to be the engine, because other games run just fine....

@windshadow333: No, I have a 6 Mbit connection at one of the biggest German ISPs and still haven't been able to connect to 1 game. And frankly, for 30 euro this is not good at all (having payed and not been able to play the meaningful aspect of the game for several weeks now!). I don't have a firewall and I have a router that usually works with EVERY game, except this one. So, I'd rather lay the blame where it belongs at the people who designed the netcode and the connectivity structur

One hint, if you get this version on european market, you will get bad results, at least in germany, because DSL is a big hit here. And if my port-forwarded version doesn't work, there is a good chance it won't work for a lot of other people.

Still nothing. Since day 0 I haven't played once. Perhaps it is a combination of my provider (German Telekom) and the router I am using (Speedport 502V), but I usually everything works fine. Well, guess I still have to wait a bit :/

I tried some more things. It seems that the a similar problem also happens while running Dawn of War 2, so perhaps it is not entirely game specific. But then it also runs fine on most other games. I have tried no sound, less sound and new sound driver for the Realtek High Def Audio Device, didn't solve the problem. It still stutters during gameplay (in 5 min blocs with several minutes in between with fine performance), also the Simlevel never drops under 7. I th

Hi, besides the network connectivity issue, my major concern is a graphical problem. When I start a game (skirmish game f.e.) it works without problem for about 4-5 minutes (high framerate, no stutter). Then suddenly and inexplicably the game starts to stutter for about 5-6 min and after that all of the sudden reverts to normal (meaning high fps and no stutter). During the stutter, gameplay is a little hell for me, because pointing and managing are more a game of luck than anything re

Hi, I am a German player and I have never been able to play any multiplayer game. I can log into the account and even get the multiplayer games displayed, but whenever I wanna join, it doesn't work out. I can sit there for a few minutes, but I will never be connected to anyone (though I can open the waiting for connection dialog - though there is no data in there). I have all ports forwarded (UDP), so I doubt it is just that... Would be nice, if these problems could be
