its not more convenient for the customer, its only more convenient for the manufactor. if there were a manual update you just had to download it and run the installer. then there werent any problems with the internet connection or login data or so. is the piracy policy of stardock to sell bugged software and make the fixes only available for these with a valid regestration?
so what? only because its free its okay when its bad? actually for all new games except those wich use steam or impulse you can manually download updates/patches: assassins creed, hawx, gta 4, need for speed, prince of persia... why do you think they use this software? to get marketing information! for free! in the time of the download progress they could scan the whole pc.
okay i installed the game and activted it but after i click at the exe nothing happens, the same with the developer exe. its only about a second in the task manger and then it disappears. no error messages.
i bought the game half a year ago at a local store, it's version 1.05 and i think the latest patch is 1.16 EDIT: ah, i got it. i've registered my serial number at impulse and now i can download the full game with impulse anywhere and complete reinstall soase.
no. so what? i just said that i have no chance to connect to the internet with my gaming pc.
i don't like impulse. my gaming pc has no chance to go online so there is no way to update the game. i only created this account to try out impulse anywhere (http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com) because someone said in the forums it is possible to update the game with it. but when i logged in it said "Only full installations are available through this website ; to download incremental updates please use the Impulse client." great.
