Give a noob a hand in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

So I just picked up this game the other day and i have played about 4 games, all with exactly the same result; I do ok for a little while, fending off pirates and enemy attacks while I build up and max out my fleet as much and as fast as I can. Then, somewhere around hour 3 or so, the enemy attacks with such a huge armada that I have no chance of defeating him. If I have 2 capitol ships, he has 6, if I have 10, he has 20. I play on easy opponent, small map and I'm getting
