i suppose i dont understant what it is that people want from their single player experience. FPS games have traditionally be playable in a few hours. Even if you go back to Wolf3d and Doom. i played CoD:MW in an afternoon. MW2 in a day. CoD2 in two days. actual game time on all of these was probably less than 8hrs per title. So far, I am loving the single player in Black Ops. Its extreamly dark. Its being told from an intere

maybe if the SBs destablization rings are both touching the fleet. generally, as TEC, i will put 1 SB close the predictable entry points. like wise i will build SBs at the other stars exit point. usually the AI cannot cope with bases in both locations. if for some reason they do pass the bases, entry point mine fields usually finish off the weakened AI fleets along with massive amounts of hangers with bombers. i will load out my SBs with full armor, weapons, an
does explorer crash if you log in as a different user? are you using any other desktop enhancement tools? are you using any plugins (toolbars, etc) for Internet Explorer? do you have the latest hotfixes for Windows 7?
I recently upgraded my primary PC to Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate. I installed Multiplicity and it connected to the existing XP secondary machine without any trouble what so ever. Then a couple days ago, Multiplicty just stopped working. Here are the things I have checked so far... Both computers indicate they are talking to the other Troubleshooter completes on both Both boxes are running 1.24 (latest) Ports are open on
the population upgrade is critical. without it you will be taxed into nothing as you expand. tech upgrades to increase resourecs and income are also helpful. one error i have seen several people make is that they increase the fleet limit way too early. even if you arent using the capacity, the tax is still in effect. against the ai, only upgrade the fleet capacity after you have finish getting your income in order. with all settings normal, you can buil
i beleive the manual is on the disk.
try a medium random map with four (or less) players all set to easy. maybe give yourself an ally if you need it. turn pirates off. and either play entrenchment or the original sins of a solar empire version instead of the diplomacy. this will help limit the features you need to learn to defeat the ai and give you more time to build fleet and turtle into your planets.

to my knowledge this is not an available feature at this time. you can move your own registrations to different accounts but its an all or nothing deal and not meant to support what you are trying to do.
dunno. nothing on their website either.
What do I think? meh.
isnt trinity just the original plus the expansions?
some other REALLY nice apps are XMLSpy and LiquidXML. Both of which are pro level apps and require some cash investment. I use these at work as well, but will often fall back on Notepad++.
indeed. i run fine on a 7300gs.
XML Marker works well for Civ4, I don't know about Elemental because I'm not in the beta.
XML Marker has been known to incude some baaad characters on save. I recommend Notepad++ as well. It is freeware available at download.com. Once installed, you can download the XML Tools plugin which gives some nice enhancements. I use this app every stinking day and it makes my life easier and put
interesting suggestions. we havent tried a lan game since diplomacy was released. if i run into trouble i will try some of the changes around the autosave. [e digicons][/e]
impulse was running 15% off with a code last week i think. not that it stopped me from spending 20$ at valve. sorry stardock.
the illium may have been given more XP value to help counter spamming at one point. if you were to counter illiums with cap ships then they would level up faster and give a significant advantage to the caps.
well, the SINS community does have the generally crappy attitudes of that other communities have, but it also has a great base of players that are willing to play\teach online or join in comp stomp games. if you guys venture online, you can try setting up a game either here or by stating from the beginning that you are looking for a learning session. if you find someone that goes back on their word in a game, then bail the game and find another one before you invest too much tim
pretty cool. i will probably download to a vm to play with it.
what are you using for antivirus? i think i have seen some posts where explorer tanks when fences is on and changes occurs on the desktop. similar to this. you may try disabling the AV and seeing if you can create new icons on the desktop.
i will likely buy it, but on 360. my pc isnt powerful enough and im not really interesting buying from steam
you bought it on impulse? did you purchase the title under a different email address from your one you registered for impulse?
If you are just starting out though, you may consider starting with the vanilla version of sins. it keeps out the advanced features and techs of entrenchment and diplomacy.
