Chasing Fleets for hours :( in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

Hi guys, I need a little help on this, or the game will annoy me before the end of the week. I effectively defeated my PCU-opponent, but his fleets are always retreating before I can do devastating damage to it. I already got 3 strong fleets to corner him, but this does not work! How are you finally destroying your enemys?
