ok first off vista is not slow itruns perfect on my laptop. nuthing lags or takes to long to load. Visat is awsome i wouldnt trade it for anything else. As for the UAC control stop bashing it if you dont like it turn it off. heres how: go to run. type in msconfig then click the Tools tab. its the one all the way to the right then scroll down to the bottom until you see "DISABLE UAC."
