Whilst what you say is absolutely true i have 2 issues which prevent me from running it insted of the taskbar. First the size, it takes too much space. Second i am a obsessive compulsive window closer. It's rare i have more windows open then i really actively use. I guess my generation who survived windows 3.0 is so used to the OS BSOD'ing with more then 2 windows active one just doesn't dare opening more. Or, if we ar egoing to wax metaphysical anyway: To my mind one views things backwards. Anthropocentric. We exist, therefore everything around must exist for us. The (in)famous Goldilocks Zone for example. Objectively such a zone doesn’t exist. It is to us because we are there. Other lifeforms most likely exist in other configurations and are out there looking for their ‘Goldilocks Zones’ and skipping ours because it’s not like theirs. Thin

What was, is and ever shall be - stands in opposition to what we observe in nature (past and present) and against what we observe in the structure of the brain itself as we learn. People should come first before anything...do that and you might gain more backers. Indeed. It'd be the right way to prep ourselves for meeting 'others', too. Or, just a thought, stop boinking like rabbits and do a bit of proper demographic planning. Who knows, we'll be still around by the time we come even close to true spacetravel. The current timeline is for that isn't very hopeful, despite all the hype. At the very best we could send out a seedship and hope for the best. SciFi is way ahead of reality, which is that given the distances involved the whole idea becomes a pipedream. Colonizing m

[quote who="StevenAus" reply="44" id="2929251"]The universe may well have existed forever, and there is some evidence to suggest that the Big Bang wasn't the first of its kind (background radiation and all that). Since time (just what *is* it?) has not yet been defined particularly well, and even though the idea that the universe (or versions of it) may have existed forever may be hard to comprehend, it is not necessarily impossible. In the long run whether homo sapiens colonizes the entire universe is totally irrelevant. The universe itself will cease to be, so why bother? But even when you think there is any point, who cares if ET exists or not. If they do and we swarm out we're bound to encounter them. If not, well ... then not. The money wasted on SETI would be better spent on more productive ventures.

i have Fences Pro, and did all the uninstalling/rebooting/installing. Added to that between time i changed computers. So this current one is totally sparkling new with a freshly installed version of Windows7 x64 with SP1. Since it happens on both computers, it worked before SP1 and doesn't with SP1 there's something awry. Contacting Stardock isn't that useful, since as nobody else seems to complain it's not rampant yet.

This version reintroduces font issues in certain skins. ILook by Adni18 for example, if you select the XP style it works fine, if you select the Win 7 style the font in standard explorer windows becomes faint and discolored. win7 x64

win7 x64 multimonitor setting. When selecting Left/Rightside of monitor and adding/removing monitors it can happen Tiles latches on to the left/rightside of the first/second/third..... monitor resulting that Tiles is in the center of the desktop neither at the right of the one nor left of the other. If Tiles is in autohide mode there's no way that it unhides Second, even in Tiny setting it takes a lot of real estate. A scaling slider would be nice instead of a preset.<

No darken i have not enabled, only dimming unfocused. I have check beta on in Impulse, always running latest version. And there was no application stopping responding just an application taking a huge load (imageprocessing) I was just surfing a bit whilst the imageprocessing was going on, when suddenly my focused window started swapping focus with a (till then) minimized window. They animated, as in they dimmed, the other to the front and vice versa. Tried to open taskmanager,

Had this happen a few times now: Under heavy, lasting, CPU load (were it hovers around 60%+) open windows start to loop through their states. One by one they go back and dim, come to front, take focus and lose it before you can do something. Everything becomes unresponsive but background processes continue normally. The only way out is hard reset. Win7 x64

There some dreams with sound. waterfalls and such. I personally switch the sound of, because you can't listen to the radio or music if it is overlaid with rushing water On a multimonitor system it's very cool. If you're busy it is good to calm the mind to just look at the animation for a while, with some appropriate music. Now i have a coral aquarium with Satie's gymnopedia's. Very soothing.

Sorry to hurt your feeling as program developer. The main issue is, the latter one (productiveness) got more important than former (hogging/prettiness). If you aren't selling as much of them it can only be poor marketing since they both are excellent applications. Winfx4 is absolutely a top notch addition. The reason why MS didn't put it in is i guess lack of business interest. It's a pure homecomputer use application. And homecomputer owners are cheapskates, you'd be surprised how many cracked versions of your stuff float around. [e digicons]>:([/e]
