Do you by chance have a link to download it? Updating via the Windowblinds app showed no new versions available and my download link in my dashboard downloads 10.65.
Just found this today. The newest COD 4 BETA crashes to desktop without an error if Windowblinds is installed. I tried applying the stock theme and then unloading the service but that unfortunately didn't fix it. Is there any additional info I can give to help figure out a fix for this? I also tried ignoring the main EXE and that did nothing. I am running Windows 10 with Windowblinds 10.7
Getting this same issue with the latest release version. Tons of random explorer crashes when copying or deleting files; sometimes just randomly when doing nothing at all.
Happens in either case. Windows 10 Version 1703 OS Build 15063.608
This update broke all white text in the Ice theme for me. It's also happening to a couple other included themes.
No problem. It would be an easy fix for Stardock to support this method of adding Aero Glass, since it works the same as Windows 7's glass. They just need to 'apply' glass on the Win8 version. We'll see what they do I guess.
I've tried them both and they don't work with Windowblinds. Any window not skinned by windowblinds will get the full blur effect, but any windowblinds skinned windows will either be opaque or transparent with no blur.
Removing that update solved the issue. Thanks much for the help guys! Great support from everyone all-around. Keep up the good work. It actually seems to have solved some issues outside of WindowFX as well. I was getting strange framerate drops in DWM before it's removal.
Still occurs after an IE10 uninstall. Probably doesn't remove every change it made? Tested it on another Win7 machine; WindowFX works fine until IE10 is installed. After restarting all of these issues immediately start in.
I actually installed IE10! I'll give that a try as well and report back if it works.
I'm running 5.10 right now, same issues. And yeah, I did 3 complete re-installs to 3 different versions and it's the same issues on all of them, it's definitely not driver related.
The flickering appears to also affect previews in Flip 3D/Alt+Tab, and Stardock Tiles. It only flickers when a window is being manipulated by WindowFX (Either via animations, or via wobbly windows). Disabling WindowFX removes all issues.
The only one I can think of that'd bother it is Dexpot, but even with that disabled the problem persists. It occurred quite some time after I installed that as well.
No change.
I did, but it was quite some time ago. I'm using ATI's 11.12 Beta 7 drivers, which actually corrected some issues for this guy . I'll downgrade to the last stable build and see what happens.
Today, after restarting for a rather large set of updates, WindowFX started having some odd issues. With Wobbly Windows enabled, the titlebars of all dragged windows have become darker, and they flicker between that and the content-less window below. Anyone have any idea what's going on here? Reinstalling WindowFX did not fix it. I'm using WindowFX 5.1 on Windows 7 SP1.
Using the default window open animation solves the problem, if anyone runs into this in the future. I would not have reported this bug if it was a Clover only issue. Any application that relies on hooking into an explorer window and displaying it elsewhere or overriding it's positioning is going to do this, and there are many of them.
Right, and it can enhance it as much as it likes, the only issue is that Clover can't hook those explorer windows properly if WindowFX is doing the same. It should have some sort of check for that situation, as there's a lot that could break besides just Clover. We're not talking about disabling WindowFX completely, we're talking about stopping animations on certain types of Windows if a program is installed to fix a major, major bug.
Is there any chance we could get something similar to Compiz's dodge window animation in the future?
Hey! Is there any chance we could get an update to make WindowFX compatible with Clover 2.0 ? The problem comes from the way Clover creates explorer processes. If WindowFX tries to animate that window, Clover can no longer properly display it, resulting in a blank frame/tab. Disabling WindowFX or excluding explorer.exe from animations solves the problem, but that also breaks every other animation in the process. Perh
No problem with those menus here. It's definitely not a WFX issue, or at least not for everyone.
http://www.lri.fr/~dragice/foldndrop/ http://www.kmonos.net/lib/orimado.en.html I'd just like to throw this out there as a suggestion for a possible feature in the new WindowFX. This is an old 'test' for a proposed management technique that could be done much, much better. Great job with the application so far though guys. I've been
