Unfortunately I can't anymore, that was yesterday. But I'm pretty sure it was approved. Wouldn't you delete rejected uploads? I copied the url in the mail to add to my dream submission and that page still exists and a few people have already downloaded the logon. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=5200&libid=65
Although I have already deleted the email notification that my "summer sky" post was approved, it did move from my personal gallery page to my skins page. Yet I still can't see it on the Logonstudio Vista page. I've also posted a "summer sky" dream, that one got approved aswell and appeared just fine. Wassup, did i miss something?
Weee, and they are up! :D [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=2564&libid=65"]I don't think so[/link] [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=2565&libid=65"]Summertime[/link] Thanks!
No it isn't, you're right. But if I didn't and approval takes much longer they wouldn't even appear on the first page. Both experience as a member and webdesigner tell me the clickthrough falloff to the second page is steep. As in any practical sense they are still brand new I think they deserve to be seen.
Since it is taking days to approve one small textual edit I've resubmitted them AGAIN just to reset the publication date. Hardly anyone has had a chance to seen them yet. (:(
heh, so you mailed me! I thought WOM was an abbreviation for some group account :D , otherwise I would have PM'ed you. Thanks for approving them. I've just edited them and removed the mod comment so they should be up again shortly.
Thanks for the advice guys!
A few days ago I submitted two Logonstudio Vista works, "I don't think so" and "Summertime". Both were rejected. I got two replies for both submissions, one was an automated response and the other had comments. I was very happy to read those comments because both of them gave the reason for their rejection as concerns about ownership. One was even formulated as a question "Did you personally make that pic or take that pic?? If not, then you cant use the wall without permission." Great!
Thanks Zoomba ;)
good point, will do!
Cropping would only work if I added a lot of whitespace to the right of the image and then the gallery and preview images would look funky. I'm afraid, having software/website development experience myself, that it's not on the to-do list but on the it-will-do list. I don't think they want to generate another, smaller image that -in most cases- will only be shown for about a week. Changing the stylesheet as I indicated above would be the most painless solution.
I noticed that the thumbnail of my dream Summertime on dream.wincustomize.com is missing a girl. I take it those thumbnails are automatically generated and cropped but as it is now, it isn't representative of the actual dream. Is there any way that can be fixed? Mmm, I've taken a look at your html-code and I see the image itself is not cropped but it's containing divs have the property overflow: hidden. If you would like to center the images inside those divs you can simply add this to
Oh wow, having "being a real jerk" on your checklist for the week sounds cool. Be an $%@*& on monday and be mr. sensible compassion for the rest of the week. That's not such a bad deal if you ask me :d  He should just add "avoid forums on mondays" to the list and all will be fine :CONGRAT:
I have, since I'm planning more visits ;) but couldn't it be made easier to find in the first place?
I've been told that there are no stupid questions, so... Will it be possible to run WPF apps as a dynamic dream? I've done some Silverlight work and stepping up from that to WPF shouldn't be too painful. I would love to create stuff with Blend for the frontend, animate system data or something.
This is bugging me also. I got here by searching for a post by TheMasterBaron since I couldn't think of another way of getting to this forum... :NOTSURE:
Putting some sort of logo in your video, like tv stations do, might be a way. But I would like to see the video being encrypted in some way. Maybe it would be possible to extract the file to memory instead of harddisk. Of course a hacker could always get at the video, there will always be video data send to the display. But just putting the video in a directory doesn't feel very secure. Good idea to extend that to wallpapers, though.
Yeah, that sorta looks like a master skin ;) I'm just wondering, what do you use for the wavy bits?
A good way to go about it is to find a word that describes your work and then look for synonyms or literary references. An online dictionary or thesaurus can be very helpful.
