Hey everyone. I also would love to see FS2 in SoSE. I was trying to convert FS2 ships to GalCiv2 and got the Colossus most of the way working. Here's all the tools I used, except for 3ds Max 8 (but some tools in there are for 3ds Max 8, for those of you who use that), and some useful tutorials I found. I hope these help you all. Hey all. I am working with Freespace 2 models in 3ds Max 8. The tutorial I am looking at tells me that GalCiv 2 will not understand 3ds Max's rotated textures feature, that you need to manually rotate them. So to try to fix this, I opened the texture files in GIMP and rotated them, saved with a new name, and tried to apply them to the appropriate surface on the model. The first one I tried to apply to was the long brown strip in the middle on the top of the ship. However, when I did this, it see

Hey all. I am converting the Colossus and other ships from Freespace 2 to GalCiv2. One aspect I am having trouble with right now is increasing the size of the model in GalCiv2. I am using 3ds Max 8 to work on my models. I have tried increasing the size of the model both in 3ds Max generic units and in kilometers. When I do this, the model appears larger when displayed in the shipyard, but is no larger in the Galaxy Map and still the same length in the intelligence report. Any advice you can give
