And when you want a thread about the AI, forget it. It must instead be derailed into an advertisement for multiplayer while at the same time insulting anyone who dares derive enjoyment from the single player. Next time someone posts a thread about for example a Vasari unit or ability not working as they believe is intended, Sanchez should just come by and tell them the solution is to play Advent. It's just as relevant and helpful to those actually interested in the pro

Would it really be asking so much for one single AI discussion thread to not be met with a Sanchez crap irrelevant reply about how one should just go play MP instead?
I really should stop my download, especially when just this one file is going to take over 10 hours to download. I can't help it though, I want to see this nightmare for myself.
I'm still rather confused that nearly every paragraph of the review is filled with negative comments and yet the final score is a rather decent 70. What's the point of a 0-100 scale if a game so badly released that the company comes out and admits it's pretty terrible scores that high?
That's the point, it doesn't. Book disappears, no stat gain received.
Made the mistake of clicking on a book that gives +1 attack in a tactical battle. Rather than the increase you'd expect and do see on the world map, it simply disappears. Does not reappear either when battle is over, just plain gone.
Quit out of my game as it was nearing 1GB of memory used to reset it, saw no update available. Launch game, get greeted by a big announcement patch is out and chuckle that the game knew before Impulse did. Had to keep mashing refresh but it finally showed up. Woot, thanks Stardock. Overall pretty pleased so far. Seems like a rampant number of little things to fix and I'm sure a handful of major ones too but I'm betting a few months down the road things are goin
Pretty late when I tried my first game but fairly confident that after changing the tactical battle cutoff slider to 0, I could enter tactical battles with my Sovereign alone. He didn't fare very well mind you, but it was possible.
I too like the default as fixed as I found it odd when getting closer to the landmass the characters were visually pulling away. As others have mentioned though, it could have gameplay uses in avoiding clutter to have them retract like that as an option.
I liked the free trial of Champions Online fairly well, but I had been hoping they'd learn from its mistakes when developing STO. Unfortunately it was not to be. Had ground combat involved some diverse missions instead of 90% of them being mob grinding, it might have been a worthwhile addition. Seeing it turn into button-mashing against braindead AI while depending on your own AI teammates that can't do jack should have been an indicator to scrap it. What's actuall
Looking forward to the release.
The point is correct that Elemental would see more total sales if released on Steam, but as is pointed out above, with Stardock's interest in Impulse it's not helpful to them to put Steam on more computers.
Topping out at 70-80C though isn't indicative of any heat issues if those values are indeed correct for the card. I don't use ATI but if you can find a program like EVGA Precision which lets you control fan speeds on the fly, you could test if you no longer have problems while playing after cranking up the fans. I hear some good things about RivaTuner. Really though, it's pretty dubious that those temps are causing such issues at least from my experience. Multiple ga
Eh, I understand if they have slightly bigger issues on their plates than a very minor graphics quirk on a game they're largely done with. I do hope they figured out whatever it was so it doesn't appear in Sins 2, which I really hope they're working on.

Don't much like rigma as others have mentioned it reminds of magma or rocks. Gildar being reminiscent of gold is fine by me. Ultimately though, I think the minting tech idea followed by the option to name your currency would be grand. Have a default but allow players to choose. If we're really worried about expletives, unit and town names are going to be plagued by that already. Edit: Giving it more thought, I realize the problems introduced with curren
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?s=6b72b5848df4f5b890c90fc32555b1c2&showtopic=91172&st=20 Found that thread that might help you. Doesn't look like good news however. As near as I can tell, support has pretty much died for the physical PhysX cards in favor of continued development for the Nvidia CUDA-based graphics cards. Just wanted to note as well that if you're going to remove all drivers, you should do that first and then install the newest one.
Haven't played since the update, but here's my last debug.err with my DxDiag in it: http://pastebin.com/wKwFpaA9
Had been meaning to create a topic about this myself. I get images like that frequently. Hope that's the same blurriness you mean. I'll try the ideas for fixing.
Tag for when details come out on how to upgrade. Honestly I like the new box a lot better. Has no one else ever seen the yellow corner on one side and not on the other and thought it was strange? I dig the black and white. Edit: New release date is the day before my birthday too. [e digicons][/e]
Must have missed that. I might use it for my next report. Reply earlier was because this was showing up in my posts, but I searched the board and it wasn't on it as far as I could tell.
Testing something...
Personally I just wouldn't worry too much about the text right now. I'm guilty of posting a few myself in earlier betas, but objectively looking at it, it's a bit more important right now that it just stops crashing every 20 minutes. [e digicons]|-)[/e] That aside, we've still got things like 'footware' anyway and a mess of others to fix in the new Sovereign customization options alone. So I guess I'd advise just compiling a list ready for when it's time to address
ZehDon, just a quick rebuttal about Steam's requirements and then I'd rather we either take it to PM or start a new thread if more needs to be said. I have Steam running right now and it's consuming a paltry 43MB of RAM. Firefox only has six tabs open and is taking up 160MB. As for the internet connection being used as you describe, I'd suggest you check for spyware or other problems. My connection is doing nothing other than the occasional notice of friends playing
