Heh. I'm not worried about my planets' flipping to enemies; I'm more concerned with my enemies' planets' flipping to me. I want to stop that from happening. :) I guess I'll just mod the loyslty ratings on the various races in the XML files. That probably won't put an end to my problem, but will at least keep it under a bit better control. I tend to play as humans, for the record. It seems way too easy to become a cultural powerhouse as the humans. Not sure what that is. Possibl
I'm wondering if there's a way to prevent the flipping of planets due to culture and influence. I realize most people probably don't care about disabling flipping, but I like to play very military-intensive games and find culture flipping to be a recurring annoyance (typically, I end up trying to give flipped planets back to my enemies, but they'll flip back to me again a few turns later). Short of modding the heck out of enemy races' loyalty ratings, is there any specific way to

Once again, to Uglycow and to others: This is a beta release of an unofficial mod that is being produced for free by a handful of dedicated fans. Please be patient, and please don't speak from some sort of ridiculous sense of entitlement. If you hate this mod so much, by all means, go out and make your own. Otherwise, either play this or don't. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to use this mod.
First of all, let me say that I am a huge fan of Dark Avatar. It represents a major leap forward in an already fascinating and complex game, and it does so (in large part) by deepening the strategy involved in gameplay. Along those lines, I feel as though Diplomacy should be given some more depth. As it now stands, Diplomacy in DA is more or less a barter system: I offer X to Race 2 in exchange for Y. If Race 2 doesn't think the trade is sufficient, I offer X+Z in exchange for Y. And so
This mod has a very serious problem. I think a major memory leak. I have a super gamming computer and I can play DA on gigantic with a plethura of ships and no problems. I try to play on a large map on this mod and my computer always says I don't have enough memory. I have Vista and I have more memory than the XP operating system would recognize. Vista does recognize my RAM though. Great MOD idea, terrible execution of it. First of all, there's really n
