help !! in Beginners WinCustomize Forums

i want to have my desktop custom from all my freinds. but creating a theme is far to difficult for me lol so therefore i downloaded a .dxtheme from here and various other files but when i download the files an go to look at them my computer does not recognize the file type and asks what program to use to open them. i have done everything i can too sort it out but i am stuck. i am now wondering if there is any software i need to get to open them. please someone tell what i need !! im have no idea
