I'm having a similar problem. Most of the text is showing up, but not all of it. For instance, I can see the text that should be there in the screenshot you've taken just fine, but I can't see a great deal of text on the following screens or when I get into a game. My install didn't hang and the only stability issue I've had so far was when the game defaulted to using the integrated graphics chip rather than the graphics card. At the moment, it looks like this:
I have to agree with this. Weirder still, Frogboy already provided an answer some time ago: The Founder's Elite edition is going to be, by far, the best deal. We have planned 2 or 3 major expansions plus god knows how many DLC packs over the next several years.
Oh, well that's good news. Although, that does make their non-answer rather odd. It's hardly changed...

This was, unfortunately, exceptionally underwhelming which is a bit of a shame. Given that the alpha is only a short hop away I'm not sure why they're being so evasive regarding some answers; are they holding back on detail in order to push up the value on the pre-order?
Many programs run all the time on your PC and it's fine. Steam uses very little resources and is more than worth it IMO for the convenience of organizing and updating my games. I actively seek out Steam versions of games if I can find them.
I don't think you quite understand what I'm asking. I've no problem with steam, I have a great many steam games and it is, at times, quite useful. That said,

Quick question about Steam and I apologize if this is answered elsewhere but is Steam being used as distribution or drm? There are some games which use Steam to distribute but allow you to launch and run the game outside of the interface, the majority (if not the entirety) of Paradox's games for example.

Hey, how do I register Dark Avatar? I bought DL and registered that. Then, (about a year, I think, later) I bought the DL and DA gold edition. I went to try and update DA and it brings me to the purchase screen... I'm sure it's a simple problem, I've likely just missed a screen somewhere, but a bit of help would be nice. Normally, I'm rather unconcerned with updates and patches, but DA seems markedly slower than DL and I'm hoping that the updates will fix, or at least, alleviate, the pr

I've noticed that too. After the patch they just stopped showing up. Before, it nearly used to be one minor race for every major. Now... Does anybody know is there a way to adjust the probability chance of getting minor races in the game? i.e. editing XML files.
