I agree with you. I'm very satisfied with impulse, I like it and haven't got any problems or trouble with it. Unlike I'm not going to get a game with steam, because it isn't software, it is a plague. Which is sad because i was really interested in Dawn of War 2, FEAR 2 and Empire: Total War. Instead I tried the demo of Sins, bought it and I don't have regrets.

You can check your winning-status and the status of your opponents in the game. Click on the "Civilisations manager"-button, it is next to the "ship yard"-button. Then switch to the "Victory"-data sheed. There you can see how close every race is to the different victorys. During the last turn somebody should have 100% in one victory category.
