Hello, I've just re-installed my GalCiv2 and read that there will be an add-on very soon. I am from Germany and would like to you know if I can buy it in German as well? (Localised and stuff) That's all, keep up the good work.

Without sounding rude, if 'trying to fix' means uninstall and reinstall the game, you may consider some friend that has more knowledge about PC's than you. 80% of the time, I would say, crashes and similiar problems are poping up because the person simply can't handle a PC correctly so it works just fine. :X

I have installed the bonuspack once and since that I never had to install it again. (Even after uninstalling everything) To check whether your bonuspack is included just go to tutorials and see if there a box that makes it full-screen, it's Bonuspack only as far as I know. In later games you will have problems to establish a better gouverment that gives you better bonuses. Also in War you will see the oponent chose a morale war on you where ppl from your own planet fight for your enemy. That are the major things that makes low morale the worst, in my eyes.

Amadeus, uninstall your game. Install it and then open Stardock Central and make sure the box that says "enable pre-release Versions" is checked. A window will pop up that asks you to d/l the beta patch. Just uncheck the video (its the biggest d/l and if you don't need an intro with sound like I do you can save the space). Then wait untill it's downloaded and installed. Everything will be in Beta 1.1 and German AND it works without crashes. (Played 5 hours straight, good time) Here is

Ok, thats what I did with the new, that says it works with the german version, Beta 1.1. What can I say, it works with the german version! Your game stays in german after that and I could go to the main screen so far, havn't tried a game yet. - Install the game. - Open Stardock Central and wait untill a msg pops up that says update to beta 1.1. I think the AI colonize pretty stupid. Me and the AI just came to a star system, he took the planet with Class 6 and left the Class 9 for me, maybe he can't react?

Getting the german version into english is cakeeasy.. you install the game, you install the patch, then you copy everything from the English Folde rinto the German. End.

Ok, got that, thanks. But the normal Starbases like military, economic etc that you can build anywhere just affect my planets in their range, right? Then it's all clear to me finally lol. Cause I didn't get it why ressources are so far away without any habitant planets and the enemy is getting it.

The graphics of the ships are just fine, the game looks better than Civ4. The sounds are okay too, like you said, its a turn based game and if you dislike the background music you can turn it off and use your own. lol @ screwed balance, did they realize that it could be an aim of the game to be unbalanced? I mean the start positions and everything else is random, its supposed to be a bit better/worse for you at start..

The invasions get quite boring after a while but I think they look so silly which makes it good again haha. The troops, when moving, remind me of MoO2 hehehe.

I have not played GalCiv1, only MoO2 and MoO3 and GalCiv2 is a lot better than MoO3 and equal as good as MoO2 (if not a tiny bit better). Im waiting for a completly random patch that makes everything really random. I wouldn't mind to stay weak and being treated by the other civs like shit lol. I love randomness and, let's say, unfair random events and make the best out of it.

My english isn't that bad (I managed to win a game in Master of Orion 3, which is also english, and everyone who played and seen the interface of MoO3 knows how lame it is lol), but to learn a game it's easier and more fun in your native language. I am getting a sound and lag problem on big galaxy maps. But I am still on 1.0 due the german version error so I don't know if its a known bug. Whenever the size is big or gigantic the sound is scratchy every 3 or 4 seconds and the screen lags/jumps a short time (0.3 seconds about)

Well, the only thing the publisher (paradox) or the designer (stardock) need to do for a hotfix is to make a list of the changes and then ask paradox to translate them into german and then send them back to stardock so they add it into a small hotfix with the added stuff. (Like the new techs etc. in german) Sounds time-eating for me, by the way.
