Having just spent large parts of the weekend playing Civ IV in hotseat mode, I have to agree with you guys - this game would be perfect for multiplayer fun, and though I understand some of the arguments against it (mainly shipbuilding), I do remember enjoying Space Empires IV (which also took ages to play) in hotseat mode as well. IMO, pretty much all turn based strategy games should, at the very least, have a hotseat mode.

It should be pretty obvious to everyone that the poster at the Starforce-forums wasn't trying to hurt Stardock, but rather show proof that the game is being widely pirated. Yes, it was a very unprofessional thing to do, but this was the actions of one person and not the entire company, and I'm pretty sure there was no ill intent.
