Yes, 6800GT... I have also found If I put the graphics to poor quality I can run the problem battle with no issue... so it does seem like a video problem. I installed Smart Exception as requested. I have made several unsuccessful attempts to get it to generate a crash log. The situation is the same every time, maybe the word Crash is too general. After Dark Avatar becomes "non-responsive" I have been bringing up the task manager (this is not always possible on this issue). Brief description of the events that led to the crash: Declared War on my only opponent: Krynn (I was playing custom). I had begun eliminating their starbases and attacked their homeworld on the first turn of the war. The starbase battle sequences didn't crash and seemed to work fine. But once I attacked their homeworld with a fleet of 4 small ships vs. one of their defenders.
