Some great ideas there. It would be nice to see some of these implemented in the future. I also would like to see borders in the game. Or some type of territorial rights. StarTrek had borders with other races... even neutral zones. Any type of interaction with the other races would increase the imersion factor and thus the longevity of the game.

Multiplayer is a very dangerous road to go down. People bought this game for single player and would like see the resources put to improving the single player experience. To put alot of resources into multiplayer, you risk pissing off the majority of your customer base. Not a good thing to do! The smart thing to do (If you go down that road) would be to treat multiplayer as a separate game AND a separate development team. The sales of the multiplayer game would pay fo

A great game is more than just AI Its the sum of its whole...Everything from graphics to music to gameplay. Ascendancy had poor AI and too much micro managing, yet it had geat atmosphere. It was a 3d world which created a more real feeling of space. The music was amazing and there was lots of variety with the races. Galciv 2 has great graphics, AI, decent music, but desperatly needs more diplomacy. Diplomacy would create the feeling you're up against real

Citizen sendeth is right, sort of. Looking at your computer analogy, if you built a 386 today you would fit many many more chips on a wafer. So you have the same fixed design (386) yet with new manufacturing (a die shrink) you get a much smaller package and therefore cheaper per unit.. It would also run much cooler than the originals as a bonus. So new manufacturing with an old design could make the product cheaper and smaller Now I don't know how that would tran

I would suggest a "Quick Start Guide" in addition to the Manual, for players that just want to jump in and get started. This way players get a feel for the game before reading a large manual which can be a little daunting. Also, the "Basics" section of your manual could be broken down further into common groups or themes. Eg. THE BASICS Start Here - Creating a new galaxy to... Un

Great game so far. I've played Ascendancy which I liked and I've played MOO which I didn't like, but this game seems to fit nicely between the two. Not sure if there's time but I think the interface could still use a little tweaking. (mostly minor things) 1. The view ships/planets button only toggles on, not on or off like all the others. 2. Is it possible to put the menu buttons of the View ships/planets screen at the bottom of the screen instead of at
