Prior to WindowBlinds7 a user could change the colors of just about anything in a given windowblind. For example, if a given skin was originally authored to have a black window with white text, I could change those settings so that the window color would be white and the text black. If I wanted to change just the "button face" color, I could easily customize just the "button face". Heck, I could even adjust how light/dark the entire skin is. Anybody know exactly what the steps are to design your own shadows in WindowFX? I've seen a tutorial on scripting animation for WindowFX, but I haven't come across documentation to design your own shadows. Ultimately, I'd prefer to not have to "play" with a copy of an existing WinFX shadow files. Thanks, Pete

I've been using the most current versions of Windowblinds and WindowFX. A while ago, I uninstalled these applications, but have since discovered that I cannot use the Windows XP setting for making the text on desktop icons transparent. I'm not running ActiveDesktop, I don't have my icons "locked", and I do have the setting for "use drop shadows on icon labels on desktop" checked.
