Does anyone know why the "Large Preview" in WinCustomize Browser is down? It was working fine a couple of days ago. I receive the internet error: "This page cannot be displayed." I tried the "Large Preview" on a variety of pkgs. so it isn't that that one pkg. did not provide a preview. Thank you.

You are so nice for replying. I just finished an off-line e-mail to Nick in Support explaining all of the above. I hope he can still locate a prior version for me. I purchased the whole Object Desktop Suite so I would like to find a regular version of at least 2.5. Thanks again for your kindness.
Ok, speaking of problems I have just rebooted my computer for the 3rd time. I had uninstalled: IconPackager_3.00b.093_07.16.2005 and rebooted my system. I then installed: 3.00d[b].002 -- and for good measure rebooted my system. After the reboot I wanted to check on a MS Office update and clicked on my usual shortcut and rec’d the following message: “Windows cannot find “http//www.microsoft.com/”. Make sure you t

Just so you know, I did contact Nick in support. They were in the middle of moving and he was going to try & locate a prior version for me. He said it might take a week or two. I mentioned to him I could try to locate a copy on the forum. He did not object. Anyway, time passed & I was not using the icon program. Then another version came out & the current issue at that time straightened out so I never called Nick back. SO... I will give the new upda
Hi all, Is there anyone that would be kind enough to send me a copy of IP PRIOR to v3.0? I am a registered user (purchased ODNT) but when I purchased ODNT, IconPackager was already using v3.0. I have had issues with IP from the very beginning. I have read most of threads & saw that some members prefer IP prior to v3.0. I would like to give that a try. Would anyone help me? My e-mail is: [email protected]
Darlene, If you can be patient & get through all your bugs I guarantee you will get "HOOKED" on this software. I went through the same exact growing pains. The moment I first installed the software I "blew up." It seemed everything went haywire and then to top it off I couldn't figure out how to unload the darn software. Of course I contacted support & was terribly rude -- however Nick was so calm & great -- he sent my “uninstall” instructions
Oh, regarding your desktop size -- it has nothing to do with it because I have a 22" monitor and I keep very few icons on the desktop.
I know, it's weird. If I use a package from the WinCustomize site they show up fine, BUT some of the system files are still mapping out of sync -- for i.e. I will map the correct corresponding icon for the floppy drive, but then it will show up in the C; drive as a "printer" icon. Go figure. IP Builder does have some bugs. If anyone out there is using the latest "retail" version of IP, and utilizing IP Builder, please let me know if the p
I have xp sp2, and all the latest updates for DesktopX, ip etc. Here's my problem: twice when I have used ip-builder and saved & loaded the new .ip package, not only were most of the system icons out of sync, but recently one particular icon will cover (hide) the actual loaded icons on the desktop. Now that is weird. The particular icon is not necessarily particular; it's just a random icon the system grabs to cover up the other icons. I c
It is working now & yes the new version is great. Thanks for replying Corky.
Are you talking about the ORIGINAL .exe program icon? For instance, when you install a new program it has its own program's icon attached to the .exe, but... you do not like the look of it, so you want to change the original (not a shortcut).exe's icon. IF this is what you are talking about you need to do the following: 1. You have to have the "Enhanced Registered Version" of IconPackager installed. 2. Go to your Pro
Are you using the latest "Enhanced version" of IconPackager?
What software do you have loaded?
Gene, If Corky's sugestion worked then ignore the following... To remove the hilight behind the icon try the following steps: 1. Go to Start/Control Panel/System 2. In System Properties select tab: Advanced/Performance/Settings 3. Under Visual Effects tab - make sure "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" IS CHECKED 4. Click OK -- and that should do it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd_com/smi
Paolo, From my experience the majority of icon packages I have downloaded do not include “custom” icons for those two files. If you want to find out if you are actually experiencing a “problem” with your application, try downloading “Color Glass Folders.ip” The artist created custom icons for both of those icons.
Hi Richard, I have been away for awhile myself, so that's the reason for this delayed response. Anyway, would you please e-mail me the .dll file? I would like to give that a try. I appreciate the response. My e-mail is: [email protected] Thank you!
I have Wincustomize Browser & Object Desktop (retail). I use to be able to change my "download" folder from within: Stardock Central / Tools / Settings -- to another drive (I have multiple hard drives on one system). Now it will not accept my choice so I have to leave it at the "default" C:\Program Files\Stardock...etc. etc. I have updated each Object Desktop component to date. Is it possible the latest Stardock Central or Desktop X version
When I open a generic icon & adjust the color I will save it as a new icon with a new name. I answer "yes" to apply changes now, but it does not save the new icon with the color change. Does anyone have an answer why it does not save the changes?
Problem solved by MountainDragon. For anyone else not aware of this... all you need to do is the following: 1. Make sure DesktopX is installed on computer (does not have to be running). 2. Run/Open DesktopX Builder & IMPORT the widget. 3. Follow the steps from there.
MountainDragon, you were absolutely correct. Once I opened DesktopX Builder & IMPORTED the widget, all my options were there. My mistake was thinking all I had to do to get the widge to work was double-click just as long as DestopX was installed on the computer. Anyway, thanks. In addition you solved my other opend thread: DigiClock.exe (no display). I imported that too & know it displays properly. thank you! <img src="http://images.s
Ooops, my mistake. My reply was mixed up with another thread I have open. Anyway, everything above in my reply is correct, except the widget in questions s/b "FavesMenu" widget v1.0 by BoXXi Graphic. Again, though I only see: Hide - close - about & properties.
Thank you for the reply! I have DesktopX v3 - full program. The entire suite is loaded. I downloaded this digital clock from the widgets section in my Wincustomize Browser program. I know widgets need DesktopX to be installed in order to work, but the program does not have to be running like it has to for DesktopX "objects" to work. When I Right-click on the "digiclock.exe" all I see is: close - about - properties. There i
I am looking for a solution for displaying Martin Conroy's DigiClock.exe. The clock loads on the desktop, but the numbers are not visible. Is there a fix? Thank you. - LPworld
Can anyone tell me how to change the "Favourites" list in "FavesMenu" widget v1.0 by BoXXi Graphics? The widget is suppose to let you customize the list but I have been unsuccessful. Does it have to do with another .dll file that is needed in the SDPlugins folder? Thanks - lpworld
