Ya I m agrre with bilbo and Zubaz. Put a button so that one can switch to different skins. You can do this by just creating six states for the objects then create a menu showing six skins. And use DesktopX.Object("your object").state = "state name" for the different options in the menu. I made a widget Ultima'nOtes with about 10 different themes. You can have a look at it if you need.
Thanks but that's so far over my head my nose started bleeding.

I don't understand. :p Can you elaborate?
Thank you Zubaz. I'll probably upload one to the widgets page, then if approved, put a link to the others at my Wincustomize page.
I have a widget that I intend to upload. I made 6 different versions of it with the skins being the only difference. Should I upload them together in the same zip or do them separately?
So sorry for being confusing (confused)
Welcome to MY life. ;p :)
Why would you do it that way?
I am making a popup menu to the Quick Launch folder on the VistaBar Widget that I submitted over the weekend. I thought it would be easier then people having to make a new "Quick" folder. They usually have the shortcuts that they use the most in their Quick Launch. It will clear up space on their taskbars for tasks.
%Username% = the generic for the current user of the session.
I guess I wasn't making myself very clear. Thanks Quentin. That's what I was looking for. Steve
I'd create a new flyout
Thanks Zubaz. I would like for anybody to be able to use it, such as in a widget. Could you elaborate please?
Could someone please tell me how to make a shortcut to the User's Quick Launch folder. Such as: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch What would I use for "username"? Steve

Thank you, very much, for posting this. I have been trying to figure this out for months. :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:
Thank you Quentin. This will be most helpful, I'm sure, for many users. Slick taskbar idea too!
It would have been nice to have the taskbar included. Even with blank images.
It's all very simple really. Boycott Wal-mart. BUY AMERICAN. Been doing it for years. Spend your money where you make it. Everybody benefits.
Has anyone had any luck using the Wacom Tablet with the pen as the primary pointing device with Multiplicity. I have 2 PC's, each with dual monitors. Primary on the left. The setup works with the Wacom mouse, but not with the pen. The pen will work on the primary PC then quits when it reaches the secondary. Thanks, Steve
There are some good tutorials here: https://www.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=145066
Thanks to all of you. First time I've tried to make a taskbar, or anything else, resolution independent. I'll try putting groups on their own bg's and child them to taskbar then make the taskbar 100% wide. So... I should leave the workarea at zeros when creating a theme for distribution. Right? Steve
Mike, Thanks for taking the time. I did just that today. Steve
Another Theme. Supposed to be resolution independent. Suggestions welcomed. Find it here http://www.shoenphoto.com/Ray_H.zip
Just out of curiousity, what are the benifits of the Pro version? Besides stand-alone widgets.
did you install the last update 3.49? cause it seems an error Are you guys talking about DesktopX 3.49? Steve
Thanks Guys. I'll upload it tomorrow. Any suggestions? Steve
Udated version 1.1 http://www.shoenphoto.com/RaySidebar1024.zip Has anybody tried the uodated version?
The fact is though, if you added it in the zip you'd have the same problem. Your safest bet is to not include it and give the name of the font in the description so someone else can find it if they want. I'd also use a standart font. For the few objects I made, I used a font I built based on my own print. The font below is a example (bad) that I did as a test for Fairry (an age ago). You can also see it in my two DX widgets <A href="http://zu
