Just wondering: is there a way to modify the number of choices you get upon a hero/city level-up? I'd imagine this requires a combination of interface modding and game rule modding... Any clue?

Thanks, that worked. Still I'd appreciate a more streamlined alternative. Is there documentation on which GameModifier is valid for which context?
But if I use the SummonUnit GameModifier for the spell effect, the champion would end up like a summoned creature: no equipment, no level up traits, etc.
I've made a custom sovereign, custom faction, and custom champion (non-sovereign). I'd like to always start a game with both the sovereign and the champion. I've tried a few approaches: 1. Add the SummonUnit GameModifier in the sovereign file. However, the resulting champion becomes a summoned creature or trained unit. I.E. no equipment, no level-up traits, etc. 2. Use the UnitJoinArmy GameModifier. This simply doesn't work:
I remember back in Dreadlords days, there was a mod that allows more than 9 AI races in a single player game. I've been looking for it but couldn't find it. Can anyone point me to this mod? And does it support TA?
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. Sometimes I cannot give stars or ships to another race. I'd click on the stars or ships I wanted to give, "send", and then get the "thanks doug" message, but when I scroll down to my stars/ships list, the stars/ships are still there. And sure enough, the stars/ships are still mine once I'm back to the galactic map. This happens especially often with weaker/smaller races. Is this a bug or is there some kind of hidden factor in play here? (I'm ru
I see. So how can I go about getting this "mission"? Is it the same as an scenario? If so, I couldn't figure out how.
Okay.:notsure: Care to Elaborate?
Just wondering, is there a way to start the game without, or with ships other than, the default USS Hero and USS Discovery? Can they be modded to be replaced by other ships?
Okay, I know how to get rid of the intro movies, but is there any way to disable the animation played on the main menu? This includes both the starship fly-by in the background and the opening panel for the menu. TIA
A crash bug in 1.02.40: When a race's last system/planet surrendered to me due to culture assimilation, the game will crash if I open foreign relations' stats panel. This happens even if I speak to that race and give them the system back.
It seems that in GalCiv, if you built a capital, trade good or wonder and cancel it afterwards, you cannot build it again either on the same planet or anywhere else. I'm not so sure but the effects of the project seem to remain even after they're canceled. For some anyway. Personally, I think this is rather awkward: I should be able to move the capital when I want to. I've also notice that the giving, or as the manual puts it, licensing of trade goods is a one time deal: once you lic
Is it just me or is it impossible to have the starting location at the four central sectors? No matter how many times I've reloaded, it just would not happen.
How are multiple colonies in the same system treated? Is there any bonus/penalty related to this? Do the modiefiers stack? Are the freighters from this system handled differently? Or are they just treated like any other independent colonies? TIA
Is there a way to make a mod that changes/disables certain game rules? Such as disabling cultural assimilation, or imposing those United Planet laws by default.
