I've been a MOO fan till 3.. anyways, I understood what you meant. I too am curious. Also as a Sci-Fi movie fan, visions of Star-Wars fleet battles come to mind.. Perhaps some Star Trek battle choreography too.. ( Enterprise vs. Klingon Birds of Prey etc.)

Interesting idea. I'd also like to see balanced choices. It's been my opinion playing GC1 and GC Altarian Prophecy that the 'Good' side gets raped for being good and the evil side profits. Seems like every good choice involves a penalty. What's up with that ? For every penalty choice the good guys get their should be 1 event that asks evil and neutral to take a penalty also. I can think of one thing, that would help the player a lot. Advisors! Military, Production, Intel/Research, Diplomacy, etc. Ok, maybe the true powergamers and GalCiv champions won't need advice but the casual gamer / newbie would help them a lot. Imagine if you got a message from your advisor after giving build orders for a ship on planet B, Sire, our planet C has better facilities and can produce that in 2 weeks whereas this backwater farm pl
I think I get your post. An eye candy view of your world whichever one you happen to have selected. Or maybe, an "Orbital View" what a ship would see of your colony as it orbits the planet ?
Great! I was going to say how about something like 'only notify me when the build queue is empty' ? Currently an icon gets put up if a planet builds something and still has stuff in its build queue. That would help reduce a lot and cut down on the micro.
Quote: "I think either system works, and I don't necessarily want GalCiv to become MOO IV. " I would have to agree. While MOO3 was an utter disappointment to me and Gal Civ 1 filled the void, I wouldnt force Gal Civ into the same mold rather have Gal Civ 2 be its own, do its own thing. What would I add? Civilization 3 had this great idea and it was called a civ-o-pedia. Right click on almost anything and you get informat
Here, here! I second that! My relationship with Stardock started with Gal Civ 1, and since then everything's been great!
