How does Object Desktop activations work? in Accounts and Activation Help Stardock Forums

I think I've misunderstood something. When I look at OD on the website for purchase, it says "up to 5 active installs." Does that mean that I can install OD on up to 5 PCs and 1 or more of the programs in OD on each one or does it mean that up 5 of the OD products can be installed (activated)? I'm asking as I interpreted it as the former, but when I look at my activations it says 7 out of 5 and lists 7 of the programs included in OD. Thanks!
