One thing I've been wondering about, with Galactic Civilization II, the expansions were spaced out roughly a year apart.
With the second expansion scheduled for 1Q2011 that doesn't seem to leave a lot of time for new development. I know you've said you're committed through 2011 but compared to how long you guys worked on GC2 it doesn't seem like there's much of a future. When you said expansions, I was expecting something more along the lines of a minimum of 6 months between expansions. The amount of changes and refinement that can occur in 6 months compared to 2 months -- well that's what I was expecting when I hear expansions.
I'm sorry if any of this comes across as complaining, it's not meant to. It's difficult to articulate what I'm thinking without the tone being taken the wrong way. If it wouldn't look stupid, I'd have inserted smileys every 5th word.
If the peaks of excitement are the release of expansions, it just seems like all the excitement is being front loaded in the first 6 months instead of spread out over a year or more. After 1Q2011, what will there be to look forward?
