OK. Call me anal but all the gradient silhouettes are driving me nuts. So I decided to make a full set avatar from the Elemental resources we currently have. Please note that Luckmann has added many more avatars to the collection.You can get them below.

 

NOTE:  most of these were created/cropped/edited by folks other than myself, so please give credit where credit is due

Additional Note:  There are many more avatars scattered throughout the forum.  I just posted the majority of them here.  I have tried to include suggested pages to find more avatars by the various avatars if you want to look further.  You can also use the "view edits" button if you're very very brave to view all previous versions of this main thread and the images where-in.

This OP is under construction.  Due to some browsing issues it is being completely reformatted and built from scratch.  There are other user avatars and lots of additional avatars that are supposed to be here in the OP.  Jalicos (page: 15) and eplekogen (page: 5) come to mind right away.  They should have avatars in this OP soon.  Of course wintersong has tons of avatars scattered throughout the web.  its a work in progress tracking them down and sorting into 'official art' and 'unofficial art' especially since some of the old 'official' art did not match the current style as well as others.

We are busy people though, and editing this takes more time than one might think.

Off site linking is often called "hot linking" and it is bad mojo to many people. Regarding the use of flash, it is a functionality thing that the forum designers decided to use - nothing more, nothing less. I would prefer that SD uses IPB personally but hey they are a software company so I guess they decided to create their own system.

I try to click the button to upload a image I even tried it with IE but nothing is happening it won't even click... I want to add the beast pic.

 

Edit I see the bug report of it, I probably have Flash 10

Shame I love my odd reference to an obscure Sweedish indie band so much. That's some nice work there. :grin: I should probably switch to a bigger avatar, though, but this one looks great on the sins forums.

You should download firefox and do it that way then. I dont think flash 10 is part of the default package yet.

I think it is now, or I installed it... I don't know when they fix the flash 10 problem I will do it, it's not worth reinstalling Firefox.

Thanks! I made it in a hurry as soon as I saw the concept art, because I figured everyone was already furiously copy/pasting their own. I guess I didn't need to rush quite so much. Didn't plan on adding my name, though; I just couldn't stand the empty space in the corner.

Maybe I'll make some more avatars, using the rest of the concept art. And now that I think of it, a border around the edges would be nice...

I've got the hobby of making avatars every now and then, and if at all possible, any chance I could have the base file w/ layers, for any of these avatars? I'd like to rip the border, since it fits these boards so perfectly.

Then, umm.. *cough* I need the base file, for the border to not look discernably ripped. Don't forget that creativity is just the process of forgetting where you got an idea.

Edit: And I only now realized that what you did was a resize of the images at https://www.elementalgame.com/lore.asp. D'oh!

Edit: Aaaand, I'm done with my first one, of about 3 or so. I'm just going to post it to check it against the background and compare to the others, before I make all of them.

Edit: Removed the old image, and going to run another test against the background and comparing to originals.

Edit: And removed all the old comparison images, aaaaand here is the finished results, enjoy. I'm going to go right ahead and claim the footman for myself.

   

 

And Karma is always nice.
