Autohide not possible with Windows 11 and multimonitor

Why?

Hi,

I just bought an Objectdock license, installed the software and then realised when setting it up that autohide is not available in multimonitor Windows setups! Why is that the case? It shouldn't be difficult to program.

The so-called "Ghost mode" is of no use to me as I need to see all my icons and not only icons when the mouse curser passes over them.

Please fix this.

Hello,

Sorry, but I can not let you know when will it get fix, perhaps, a refund request. Include all information details. Remember to record down the ticket number for future reference if needed. Do not raise multiple ticket, that will make your ticket back to the end of the line. Send once and wait. Ticket will be answer by the order they send in.

I do not want a refund as I am already using Objectdock on several machines with only one monitor.

You should just fix the multimonitor problem - it should not be really difficult and time consuming to do this. Multimonitor capabilities have been available on Windows for decades now. You developed this software - find a solution instead of providing "support" that does not help.

And maybe you should read the forum more often - there are many complains about Objectdock in it's current state. Just fix it and you will sell more licenses of this product. It's as simple as that.

I came to post the same issue. I used the freeware version of 1.9 for years, but sadly Win11 would not install that version for anything. So I bought the latest version.

I liked the ability to keep the dock behind other maximized windows, yet still accessible by hovering.

The more they change things, the worse they work sometimes. Please put this very basic option back in.

ETA: I found the Accessibility options, but Autohide is "unavailable for multi-monitor systems".

It's obvious that you are not in the development team.

However I have the impression as if your communication with your development team does not seem to work. For what reason is your development team not able to repair essential features of your software - or at least able to provide for information about when the problems will be fixed? Are they overworked? Then, maybe your company should hire more developers.

Is any of your CEOs reading this forum from time to time?

When OSs change, some things are gained while others are lost. Windows 11 changed so frequently in the RTM and dev channels that Stardock and other companies were hard put to try to keep up. Stardock passed on the dev channel.

Windows 11 RTM version has things hard coded into it that Stardock can't change, and we all have to adjust to that until MS changes its mind yet again and loosens up. I'm sure basj has forwarded your problem and requests to the appropriate addresses. Realize basj has clearly been trying his best to be responsive to you and help.

You'll have to be patient just like the rest of us, until they respond.
