Ok, I'll save it in the future then. And here's the dxdiag for my computer: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8154115/DxDiag-2010-07-17.txt

Game started to feel sluggish and at end of turn it crashed to desktop. No memorydump file. My whole computer feels kind of slow in windows as well after the crash. For future reference, that crash report windows wants to send to microsoft, would that be useful to include in a bug report? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8154115/EotCTD/AutoSave.EleSav <a href="http://dl.dropbox.co
I alt-tab'd out to update another bug report post and got a windows error ding sound and the game crashed. Didn't see any dialog window. I (still) have the same problem with my ati card with latest drivers as of two days ago. My dxdiag file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8154115/DxDiag-2010-07-17.txt
I have also had a CTD without a dump. Links to last savegame, dxdiag and debug.err: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8154115/Start.EleSav http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8154115/DxDiag-2010-07-17.txt http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8154115/debug.err This happened the first tim
I have the same problem, more often then not the game crashes when I click the Kingdom Info button in the lower left of the screen. If by some miracle it does not crash then it will most likely crash when clicking any of the buttons on the left. No debug.err or memory dump file generated. I do have a save game that always crashes when clicking the kingdom info button though. Savegame: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8154115/AutoSave.EleSav DxDiag: http://pastebin.com/wa
Confirmed. Damn hard to engage in combat with only 1 movement point though.
Confirmed. Quite annoying too. :)
Reproducable crash. Start new game, found a city, place sovereign in city. Start researching civilization tech. Hit end turn until housing completes research. Game will crash when you hit end turn and prestige bonus is in research queue. Any saved games from this game after you founded a city will fail to load and result in a crash or system lockup. Switching to another firld of research prevents the game from crashing. Switching back to civilization field and the game wi
Agreed. Autosave and/or quicksave/load is needed.
I haven't tried modding galciv2 yet, but isn't it supposed to be possible to make a modfolder and load that somehow? Or is that what is coming in the announced later modupdate?
e-stab, Before v1.11 when you had moves left after auto orders where done the ship with moves left was autofocused. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Bod
And how come this post didn't show up in the recent post list after I posted my reply?
My medals used to show up and now they don't anymore. I only have one character and I didn't change anything. Any ideas anyone?
Before v1.11 when you had moves left after auto orders where done the ship with moves left was autofocused. Now it no longer is. Which means it can be a pain to find the ship with moves left so I usually end up hitting skip until the new turn is ready. I'd like that particular type of autofocus back please. I would also find a keyboard command and/or button to "find ship/fleet with moves left" useful.
Nice story Suralle. Thanks for sharing.
I submit all games I finish to the metaverse wether I loose or win.
And ship them to the salt mines... Nothing like slaves paying for the privilige of being slaves!
I agree that autofocus can be annoying and an option to turn it off would be welcome.
I have tried putting defensive fleets in the same square as my starbases but when the square was attacked it was the starbase that took the first punch so to speak. Maybe that has changed since I last tried it since I did it in one of the early 1.1 betas. Or maybe my fleet was just considered weaker then the starbase. Whatever the reason I didn't like it and started massproducing constructors to upgrade my starbases which led me to the conlusion they are too fragile.
I wouldn't call them weak, with the right techs and upgrades they can really kick ass. But I do think they are too fragile. Early in the game the 30 something hitpoints they have are just fine against fleets of ships up to medium size or so. But when battleships and dreadnoughts starts coming off the assembly line they are just too fragile imo. A probably easy and logical way to fix this would be to have each module added also add hitpoints. Makes sense too me. Maybe non-military modules adds 1
