One of their planets had a strange icon in the ship queue I've never seen before. Every time I fired on it, the response was the same as if it was any other destroyed ship. But it didn't go away until after about 5 volleys (all in the same turn).

Okay, so my empire can pretty much do whatever it wants now. I found a fun way to test my ship designs. Whenever one of the majors declares war on a minor race, I give them one of my dreadnoughts and watch while the major sends fleet after fleet to their destruction. Some minor races will immediately send their new gift to their homewolrd (which is disappointing), while others leave it in place and apparently can't move it. I can't find this in the documentation: One of the main races gains a super advantage (can't remember the exact wording). The notice goes on to warn that if this race is not wiped out, they will take over the galaxy very soon. This forced me to destroy the Terrans who were one of my major trading partners. Does anyone have more info on this event?

I got this game in December and up until now I thought I was ignoring the multiplayer aspect. You mean I don't have the option to play GalCiv2 in multiplayer even if I wanted to? My games inventory is filled with multiplayer capability I've been ignoring for years. But not true with GalCiv2, I feel so cheated...
I just started playing this recently. I found it at Target for $10. Best 10 bucks I ever spent. My wife disagrees, but that's only because she misses me ;-) As for my question: How do I automate the process of sending newly created constructors to a starbase for upgrade purposes? I thought I read that somewhere, but now I can't find it of course. Thanks
