When I get a bit of time I will have a look through the library but the last time I look there was about 40 pages so any help would be good. I was looking for designs (defore I have a go myself) of ship that are made for specific jobs. Graphics / looks are not important. The sort of thing I mean is :- Planet Defence Ships - since they will sit in orbit and wait to be attacked basically all armour and weapons with no extras Home Soil Ships - since they will

What I mean is that whenever the next 2.x update is released and put on Impulse will everyone (Original game, EU, UE, downloaded, US Disks, EU / Kalypso Discs) be able to upgrade straight away or will there be the same delays.
Good, I was starting to think UE stood for Usless Edition!
GC2UL should now be available for registration and update in Impulse.
Is this the 2.x update for the retail box Kalypso Ultimate Edition (you have 'UL' in your post) which has been on sale in the UK since late November? Also what size is the update?
I got mine through Amazon.co.uk, went back just now to see if it was sent through there Jersey service and it now says " Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock" Also I noticed that the serial number sticker says 'serial number' in German. If you goto <a href="http://www.kalypsomedia.com"
I will give the demo a go, looking at the Sins website it says this. Minimum Requirements: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista 1.8 GHz Single-Core Processor Recommended Requirements: 2.2 GHz Dual- or Quad-Core Processor 1 GB RAM (2 GB for Windows Vista) The minimum is what is on the back of the box but the box has no mention of a recommended system As for overheating, I play 'fast' games on
Back of the box says 1.8 Single core processor, My Laptop is • Intel® Centrino® 2 Processor Technology with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P7350 (2.0Ghz, 3MB L2 Cache, 1,066 MHz FSB) • Windows® Vista Home Premium (includes SP1/OEM version) • 15.4” TFT WXGA display • 3 GB DDR2 RAM • 320 GB Hard Drive • 8 x Dual Layer DVD and CD re-writer optical drive • ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3470 gra
Firstly I have UE so still using 1.97, if this has been added to version 2 then great, if not WHY NOT! In both games a real time clock can be displayed on screen but Civ IV also has a ALARM.
When you change the Galaxy options (and others like the opponents) what sort of changes does it make to the game. I dont mean literly i.e. selecting a huge universe gives you a huge universe to explore. But more along the line of this set of options lends more to a combat game or that set of options is more a tech game. Also what is a good average / balanced set of starting conditions.
First I am running TA 1.97, I have the Ultimate Edition and version 2 is not out for that yet. 1) When you research one of the weapon techs they are usually split into four sections each section gives you a new weapon that does the same damage as the previous one but is smaller and cheaper. Do the ship designs (yours or built in ones) take advantage of this automatically and use the cheaper weapons or do you have to create a load of ships each with the new w
- Spy bases! It is a ONE tile per planet affair, no colony, no starport, no manufacturing... nothing else but a listening, watching, scanning outpost.
It would be just as easy to make the uninhabitable planets only show up on the minimap. They are nothing but useless clutter on the main map. Maybe the developers just wanted to add a bit more random detail to what might have been otherwise blank screen space. But I wish they'd devoted more effort (and maybe a bit more screen space) to making the icons more useful -- things like indicating ship direction and speed, and mayb

It can not be added to (or subtracted from) planets either. Terrain can only be modified, never added to or subtracted from. Think before you post. What has 'education' come to these days?
Did not notice the seperate .exe in the Twilight directory. Actually originally did not spot the whole Twilight directory as I was looking for something with 'Arnor' in it - duh!
If I run galciv2.exe it starts Dread Lords, how do I get it to start the other expansions (usually done through the launcher).
What is the point of uninhabitable planets except for filling out the map a bit as there is really not much else there *. I mean the proper low class uninhabitable ones not the terraformable ones. * - always thought 'terrain' could be added but probably only to larger maps :- 1) Nebulas - limit your vision - modified by sensor tech 2)Asteroid belts - take damage for each square moved in an asteroid field (modified by shield tech), no damage for s
Just got home and tried my own PC, is says in my impulse account that I have no products registered so I dont think I will have any problems. From wha I can remember the first time I registerd with impulse it was from impulse starting by pressing the 'update' button in GalCiv (and I think it asked for a game) but I put in a wrong emailaddress sonever did the activation from the email. Then I registered again but this time I started Impulse manually and I dont think
Probably just wait then for a week or so, only really get weekends free and I also have Fallout 3 for my PS3 (played it 12 hours straight last friday (9AM-9PM) thats after doing a nightshift at work!
When I created an impulse account for this I think I selected just GalCiv II form the list of games. Will this be a problem with the Ultimate Edition is released on Impulse and if so what should I do?
I have just got the Ultimate Edition and played a couple of sandbox games to get the hang of it (I have got GalCiv I and TOCG *) I was going to start the campaings but what effect does the 2.0 update have on them? It is not out yet for the Ultimate edition so should I wait till the update (other post suggests the weekend but lets assume it is a bit longer) and then start the campagins in the 'ALL NEW' game or do the campaings get played in the old game engines and are not part
So does that mean that basically the difference in the two is that with the UE (the one I have) I have the option of playing DL (sandbox or campaigns) with the original DL game engine. "(+ DL campaign from DA or TA launchers)" - I have noticed that in the UE you can only access the DL campaigns in either the DL or DA launcher, they are not in the TA one.
Where is GalCiv II 2.0 for the Ultimate Edition I cant find it anywhere, here, galciv2.com, kalypsomedia.com or Impulse. I have the box version bought in the UK from amazon.co.uk but the serial number sticker says 'serial number' in german. UPDATE - I am not on my own PC (at work at moment) and there is various blocking etc on it, because of this the forum page did mot disply properly but now I have noticed poss dated
What is GalCiv II Endless Universe? The text on the box is a bit convusing :- "Endless Universe builds on the epic story, following on from Dark Avatar and Twilight of Arnor - two Expansion packs which have never before been released in European retail." Is it Dark Avatar and Twilight of Arnor by themself in one box or put another way is it the Ultimate Edition minus the original Dread Lords content. Or is it two expansion pac
