yea, that sounds like something that could be exploitable by grabbing everything a race owns except for thier homeworld and flagship (if it hasn't been destroyed by then), and then attacking them or whatever. Almost like asking that race to sell themselves to slavery while allowing the decency of keeping thier homeworld. In other words, sounds like putting way too much value in that kind of treaty.

another details.. this only happens to my ship in particular area of the map - one occupied by Yor Collective. Very strange.. lol, thats not a bug, I believe thats the Yor's super ability taking effect, which is that other ships not belonging to the Yor will have thier speed lowered when they enter territory controlled by the Yor. I'm not sure whether it applies to ALL non-Yor ships no matter what or whether allies get an exception.

googled it and it looks like some technical stuff (and really only works for desktops and not laptops I think, plus considering the equipment needed), and I don't keep track of that sort of technical stuff, so thats prob why I haven't heard of it.

^^^ I don't use any hot-keys. also, like you, settings I chose never happened. I turned mega events in a new game and I still get them. I chose to play the game "windowed" (as opposed to full screen) and that doesn't work. It stays in fullscreen. why would I want it windowed? To see my CPU and GPU temps so that if the game crashes (and it has twice) I can see if it is a heat issue (not likely to be since my system is watercooled). uh, what do y

Instead of post debug reports in the forum, it is better to send them directly to stardock at the email they have indicated for bug reports (I don't remember what that is right now). true, but the thing is that we don't know whether a debug err will actually help them find it or not. Not everything will show up in the debug err.

decided to go ahead and put up the debug err of the game I'm currently playing. There are apparently alot of cannot find OBJID and a couple of cannot find a particular texture. None of those affected the game in any way that I noticed. I put up the entire debug err including the several times that I started a new game (bad habit, bleh), theres also a whole bunch of mode switches because I was going from windows to the game which is in windowed mode. yea I've been noticing this too, the PQ doesn't update properly. I'm not sure whether the morale and pop bonus that goes with it is calculated but the number isn't changing. Cari, Frogboy, or whoever, any information we should start giving for this bug? not sure if a debug err would help. edit: actually, I think the devs are mainly off for the weekend although some of them are sometimes on SDC chat over the weekends. So we will have to wait until monday for a definite answer on

That's a thing of beauty Kane. I can't wait to get DA. How long did it take you? you can download it off from the Stardock online store, you do need an account there but its free, the game costs 20 dollars or something I think. Thats what I did.

I'm not sure how the Korx defect more easily. Anyway, those stats are just the tendencies of each race, but not neccesarily an absolute as there will be games where the race ends up bieng an exception to the way they normally are, while the Altarians in general would tend to have a weak military, but once in a while there will be a game where they end up having a pretty strong military. Although some stats tend to be pretty consistent throughout all games, such as the Iconians

there is apparently a small bug, one that I've just started noticing. The bug is when you set a miner to autopilot to an asteroid field, it doesn't automatically build like the constructors do, it just stops there and reverts to the 1 movement point for un-used asteroid fields, so I have to waste a turn to pull it back out and put it in. Whatever it is, the game is just not recognizing the end point of the miners as an asteroid belt because its treated as a 'terrain' tile rather than a

I assume they have a Terran looking image for a good reason, much like the Altarians. it would be nice if they had a little more background such as a clue to why they look human, say maybe they are the descendants of a multi-generation ship sent out long ago. Although since its the 23rd century in the game, that doesn't leave much time for a multi-generational ship to get anywhere unless its a nearby star.

there are a few spherical jewlery pieces, not strict spheres, but pretty good ones. There are several saucer or partial saucer jewlery in there, and of course, our very own borg cube theres also a tiny cube piece that is used for the drath style ships (not sure which race model they use, torian?) as a cargo thing, that might be something from Kryo's mod and is more of a placeholder type thing. yea I saw that one, it is kind of a wierd name (then again, some of the minor race names are wierd), and I don't know why they used a picture of a human for it. Although a british guy anyways. Honestly it should have an alien image for them.

it may have gotten unstickied or lost in the shuffle somewhere. It'll probably be easier to post a new one rather than try to find the origional. I haven't really been inspired quite yet since its been a little while since I've played GalCivII. I did create a few basic designs such as a cool looking scout/sensor ship made from that new Torian small hull and named it WarpDragonfly scout.

If they aren't putting engines in their ships, it's not you who's disadvantaged. The biggest, baddest battleship in the world doesn't matter if you can just fly around it. isn't that what Totot just said? lol

blargh, it did it again. It seems to work from the main menu, but when actually playing a game it messed up. If your monitor came with a cd, install the driver. its a laptop though and I don't think the CD for the driver came with it. @mystikmind its not exactly a crash per se because I'm not getting a CTD error, it just freezes up and goes blank. I realize that DA has just been released and like any new game, theres always going to be a few kinks to be resolved initially no matter how well programmed it is.
