I would but I pretty much stopped using desktop icons long ago. I hide the icons on all my systems now. I will however, tell everyone I know who does use them about Fences, and point them to this thread. [e digicons];P[/e] Looks like a great app. [e digicons][/e]

In most cases I think you'll find it comes down to people being misinformed or assuming too much when making a purchase. By your own example of a 3 wheeled car. No one actually goes out and buys a 3 wheel car unless that's what they're after. Most, if not all people first make sure it has all four wheels, and that everything else is in place and in complete working order, and that it has all the features and doodads they may want. It should be likewise with software.

WindowFX is not Vista compatible. The System Requirements found on the WindowFX site do not mention Vista at all, only XP/200 32 and 64bit. Which requirements were you looking at?

Nicely done Steph. :) Looks a lot better. Here 's another neat, affordable and simple way of organizing cables at the back. With a little imagination and tinkering I'm sure that could be improved. I've seen a bunch of cool DIY ideas floating around; I guess it's just a matter of using a little creativity and elbow-grease. Our little puppy

There's no real reason why WB should interfere with the normal functioning of Messenger, but you may have specific plugins or addons that might be causing some kind of conflict. Try excluding Messenger from being skinned by WindowBlinds double-click on the WB icon in the systray click the Settings tab then click Change the look of an app then Add per application setting locate an
I'm not doing any work...the office end of my house has no A/C ....and drawing trace is heat sensitive [as is all paper] so if it's dimensionally unstable I draw 10 squares now it'll be 8 when temps get more 'nomal' [almost, not really].
Heh, just go with that, Jafo. It sounds believable enough. ;) While I enjoy the heat, I feel for all the Melbournians. You guys just aren't used to extreme temps. ;P It's little better here though, but

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe beta version of certain Stardock applications for 64bit OSes can only be downloaded via Stardock Central, the precursor to Impulse. You can find SDC here .

Microsoft DreamScenes is available free for Vista Ultimate users as an added bonus feature. DeskScapes is the Stardock equivalent that runs enhanced dreams. Deskcapes free comes with a handful of dreams to let you find out whether it will run ok on your system. In order to get additional dreams you will need to purchase the full version, which is definitely worth it.

That's a damn beefy machine, Brad. Certainly trumps mine. :P Except for the case, of course. ;) I was won over by the understated style that the Antec P182 Performance One offered. Though it looks simple and plain on the outside, it manages to do that with flair, but its innards are highly configurable and well laid out. It is well built and sturdier than any case I've ever owned and laid hands on. <a href="http://www.a
